They sharpened my partner, 15 year old tempered hatchet, to perfect 15°. Was pretty cheap too, comparing to NY, TX, and BC prices. Only cheaper and vetter if you do it yourself. Well worth the price!

Visited Marks shop today and had a great time looking around. Its and awesome place to fun some really unique items. It is also a really good place for any knife makers out there who are looking for supplies. Everyone I met there was incredibly friendly and very helpful. I will definitely return in the future.

5 stars. Inherited an old knife that had been in a drawer for 30 years (and looked it) and they cleaned and sharpened it for a super low price. I couldn't recommend them more!

This is a super cool place that nobody talks about. We luckily ran across a flyer at the tourist center. When we got there we were instantly welcomed and my husband and I were in awe of all the cool pieces/artifacts and such that they have. We bought a mammoth tusk, elk antler and some homemade goat milk products. We worked with Angel and I have to say, she is the sweetest most helpful person you can ask for. Since we've been home, we've been in contact with themm several times just getting advice and they have always willingly helped us out. When we left Alaska, my husband and I both said, we hated not being able to stop by the store whenever. If you're in Fairbanks, Alaska..you MUST stop by.

Mark Knapp of Forge of Fire fame, has a nice store front with standard knife stock and custom made knives. A really nice guy who is very talented in his craft. Enjoyed visiting with him. He is a great resource for people who want to create their own knives, selling the materials you need. Stop in, even if you're not in the market for knives.

Really nice owners! The store is small but has really high quality Alaskan made items at reasonable prices. Whether you are looking for carved whalebone items, wooly mammoth tusks , ivory carvings or something else, your chances of finding something you love are excellent!
