“Mok is an awesome guide & owner! He's very pleasant and friendly. He taught us a great amount about the lights and how to look for the Northern Lights on our own via different websites. His lodge is so cute & cozy w proper lighting (darker) so we could go outside wo having our eyes have to adjust so much. All around high, high praises for Mok and Aurora Borealis Lodge!”

“Stayed here with Gondwana Tours - what a blast. Thanks to Kory & Deb for a lovely experience. Our room was perfect for us and we loved being notified when there was an aurora spotted. Got some great pictures, used your lovely warm jackets and pants (had our own heavy boots). BRRR was it cold out there, but the warming hut was welcomed in between events. Thanks again!!”

“It is a very good quality hotel very close to the airport with beautiful facilities. The hotel has a wide river at the back that was frozen when we arrived and also turned out to be an additional attraction. The hotel has several attractions of its own. The front desk staff was not the most friendly, however we appreciate the excellent attention of a person who served us after the breakfast buffet. If you are staying in that place, consider the availability of a vehicle to get around because transportation costs are a little high.”

“2-star hotel? Whatever! Our room was nice, clean, spacious, and had A/C that worked well. We got great sleep. There were no problems parking, and of course it was free. We would definitely stay here again.”

“We were in and out of Springhill Suites on a recent trip to Alaska. It was a great place to stay. There are ongoing renovations and work crews in and out, but they were quiet and did not disrupt our stay. This hotel is in a great location, within easy walking distance to local restaurants and shops. This is also a very busy hotel as there are various excursions and tour companies in and out picking up guests. The front desk staff, especially Kaylea were especially helpful. They were accommodating, offering us secure luggage storage while we traveled to locations outside of Fairbanks. We were offered early check in and were also able to utilize the shuttle service from the train station and airport. On one occasion the shuttle was not available and the hotel provided us with a taxi to transport us to the airport. A great stay!Rooms: Spacious, comfortable room. Plenty of room for belongings and relaxing.Walkability: Great location. Easy walk to restaurants and shops in Fairbanks”

“Comfortable, clean and fairly modern hotel in Fairbanks. The airport shuttle was even running when we landed at 12:30 AM and provided fantastic service with a smile. Friendly staff and a standard Hampton breakfast. Only negative, and this isn’t on the hotel - is there is not much in walking distance if you do not have a rental car but they are more than willing to assist with the shuttle if they are able. Would definitely stay here again!”

“Sarah is the one at the front desk that time I check-in. I ask if they allow me to check in early. She check and it was ok. For me that's a 5 stars there not all hotel allowed that. But Sarah makes a difference on Christmas Day. Thank You Sarah (Front Desk)”

“I was disappointed that we reserved and paid for a suite. We went to check in and they didn't have one available. We booked 2 weeks in advance. Some of the staff are rude.”

“The owner accommodated me and my family when we had to go up to fairbanks for a dual funeral, they even called to make sure we made it back thru the summits since it was horrible weather. The truck froze solid and they let us use my heaters to thaw my parents vehicle. I will forever be thankful to the owner, and I will definitely be back to stay again”

“Adequate. Wifi is sorely in need of an upgrade. I understand the infrastructure might not be there to the hotel, but the hotel does not have enough routers or boosters to provide the internet they do get to every room. (Verified on three different devices.) This is a solid performer. Prices in the restaurant are quite high, but that's not completely unusual for a hotel restaurant. I really want to give this hotel 5 stars, but I feel like they are just phoning it in instead of maximizing their potential.”

“We stayed for two nights before starting our 2 weeks Alaska vacation by car. The front desk check-in staff were extremely nice considering it was 2am. The room was clean and the beds comfortable. We didn't eat at the restaurants on site so can't review them. We would stay here again.”

“Very clean and modern day rooms are available for a great price as well. Front desk staff was very helpful and get the job done with the smile and the hospitable graciousness you might expect to get from a stay in a hotel... They have gone the steps above the norm. Keep the awesomeness up and have a great holiday!Rooms: Very clean and modern to design.Safety: Overall a very safe and secure place to stay in the downtown area.Walkability: Right on the streets of the downtown area and the community members are kind and very happy to be of assistance.”

“Nice little hotel close to airport with breakfast 15 min away from downtown. Mostly very quiet only when the upstairs or neighbors was yelling or running you will hear the sounds otherwise the room is not bad with microwave and refrigerator those are the plus and just wish the toilet not so scary when you flash and the ac was quite loud when it started. There's not much view to see at night anyway. The little breakfast area is not bad you can have different things and choice to eat.Nearby activities: Driving or taxi to downtown or University Alaska are both 15 minutesFood & drinks: There's a coffee shop with food next to it if you want something quick”

“"Average" place to stay in Fbx.--Nothing special, a "place to stay".Overall? The breakfast amenity should be left completely out--it is not worth even mentioning (coffee plus tiny packaged muffins & hard granola/health bars); witnessed a number of guests that obviously were staying long-term (so, no room service if staying more than one night based on my stay)--walked back and forth to the Fred Meyer's down the street; saw more than one vehicle in the parking lot that obviously had been there for days upon days--perhaps even weeks (snow-covered, appeared broken down, and had been plugged in). Most striking (to me) was the staff reaction to my inquiries "who" the manager or owner was (had observed him interacting with an 'unsavory guest.') Staff member refused to provide any info. re. my inquiries until she seemed satisfied with my responses re. "why" I wanted to know "who" the manager or owner was. NOT a good thing, and only served to create distrust for hotel quality, transparency, safety, etc.Overall, a decent visit. NO issues whatsoever. Again, a very "average" place to stay, a good option if you're traveling on a budget. Location is SUPERB for airport and Fred Meyer access.”
