The Anchorage and eagle river libraries are horrible! Everytime I take out a dvd at the library it freezes! It’s like people are deliberately scratching the back of the movies! The people who work at the library should check the back of the movies and hold the person responsible who had the movie checked out but they don’t! Will never check out another movie! Books yes not dvds!

Quiet once I put my headphones on. Nothing against the library, just people that answer and speak on their phones very loudly.

They were the best. I was in dire straights and they came through. The young was the best. I can't thank him enough for going the extra mile. The world could use a whole lot more like him.

Staff is helpful but getting choice of reading material is limited. Interlibrary loans are time consuming.

I love that we have such a fabulous library out here in Chugiak/Eagle River! It's quick and easy to get a card, especially if you have a Real ID; otherwise you just need to prove residency just as you do getting RID. I'm still old school and love to peruse the books and prefer reading an actual book rather than on a device. Most recently I went in for a specific book, which I had checked online and it showed available. You can of course use the computers there to find your book or find it just as easily with your device. A brief lookup on my phone and I found it quickly!' Books, audio books, magazines, movies and a plethora of digital items to check out online as well. There is plenty of space, tables and even private rooms for study. The staff is polite and helpful to boot! One thing to make note of is you need to contact them first about donating items. They don't just take things on a whim, and definitely not a place to just dump your boom supply.

I have an adventurous kitten that chewed up my computer cords. I had not been online for over a week. I went to the library today and was able to use a computer for an hour! It felt so awesome to be able to go in there and just quietly sit down and feel and smell The Library! And next Wed. we'll be able to go and once again borrow books! I can't wait!

I’ve always liked this library, only downside is there’s no late fees anymore, so books me or the kids want to get sometimes don’t get returned for months, if ever, because there’s no reason to bring the books back in, in a timely manner, or all. So we have to wait around sometime months to get what we want and some books never come back. Even without the late fees we always, my family and I return each and every book right away so others can have their share as well. I’m just super disappointed and wish they’d bring back the late fees. I’ve also mentioned before that tax payers dollars pay for the book and DVD’s. So with every book and DVD not returned is a waste of the public's money. I’ll definitely come back when the late fees come back.

There's been many books I can't get here. Why? Because there's NO late fee. There's no motive to return items in a timely or even at all. I won't support or go back to this library until this changes and they bring back late fees again. Keep in mind tax payers dollars get these books and keep public libraries in business. So with every book and DVD not return is a TOTAL waste of the public's money. As a tax payer myself I don't like this at all.
