Stayed here one night and had no problems. Staff were friendly and room was clean, no concerns or problems for our stay.

Run down and not clean. Carpet was filthy and sticky. Gross dust behind furniture. Hadn't been cleaned properly in years. Bathroom below standard, Holland America should be embarrassed to have cruise guests staying here.
Rooms: Awful. Opening balcony door nice and the only thing nice about the room
Nearby activities: Centre of town location handy.
Food and drinks: Ughk
Noteworthy details: One of the worst hotels I've stayed in, and ive travelled in third world countries. I feel sorry for the staff working there.

Everything was good except not happy about expensive breakfast. I recommend eating at Captain Cooks about a block away for half the price.

The hotel needs a deep renovation. The rooms are large, but old and ugly. Lack of maintenance. There is not even a safe, nor a refrigerator and the blockout system is bad. The hotel belongs to Holland America, which in turn is a subsidiary of Carnival. There is no lack of financial resources and it is not cheap at all. They warn that the hotels are not like in the rest of the US and the question is why not?
Taking advantage of the fact that the location is central and there are almost no options, breakfast costs USD24.

"Disappointing stay - Below average experience. Not worth the money. Basic amenities like drinking water were not provided, instead, we were asked to purchase it. Room service was extremely slow and unresponsive. We requested plates for our room, but they never arrived. Overall, a frustrating experience that fell short of expectations.

Holland America booked this outdated hotel. The room had a musty smell, with the AC off and still not helping after being turned on. The bathroom reeked of urine. After just one night, we ended up with stuffy noses. The worst part of our vacation was staying at the Westmark Hotel.

The hotel is quite mediocre. But being charged 40 dollars for parking for a place that is not guarded and has not any cameras is ridiculous. Somebody stole things from my car at night

Decently priced for downtown. Rooms were ok- beds comfortable, balcony was very dirty.
Food and drinks: Near some great steak restaurants!

Westmark is a tired facility. Clearly intended to host conversions and large groups, but without the staff to do so. The rooms are clean, but heavily worn. The tile input shower was repaired with tape.
We were here as part of a Holland America land tour extension and this location is not up to their standard.

Hotel and rooms very old and dated, room smelled like cigarettes. My family was in another room and shower tiles held up with duct tape, not a good look. I will say staff organized as big group of us arrived after train ride from Holland American cruise. Hotel is near restaurants.

Great location in the heart of downtown Anchorage. Friendly and helpful staff. I believe owned by Holland America not sure if it's managed by HAL.
Did eat here. The rooms are reasonably clean but nothing special at all.

Nice hotel, part of the Holland America tour. Slightly dated but nice, clean, and good view of the water from our room on the twelfth floor.

Good location, average rooms and service. The wifi didnt work. Maybe its because its Alaska, and outside of cruise season its not that busy? This hotel is used by Holland Cruise Line. Felt old and in need of refresh, honestly.
