Worst experience ever. Inaccurate tracking information and then provided the wrong information as well. When they were told of the issue with their tracking system, the customer service representative was not concerned and said that there was nothing they could do.

Worst customer services I have ever seen,as a first timer, I created a pickup service using UPS, I forgot to creatE a shipping label. A UPS location picked up my package and I was charged. Would you believe with the pick up request number that I was given , UPS are unable to locate my package telling me it’s lost as they can only locate pick up request with a tracking number. You’d think the ups that picked up my items will return it if they have no sipping label but they kept a package worth of over $400 so they can write it off and eventually keep it to themselves. What a ridiculous company, how dare you, would say an item is automatically lost even when I provided a pick up request number, they still can’t locate the UPS location responsible for picking up my items. They are fraud. My last time using ups , I will rather use USPS OR FEDEX

Lying liars. UPS has developed a culture of saying anything to get the customer off the phone, and make them someone else’s problem, and they should fire all their leadership to change this. When my late passport was not delivered overnight, as was paid for, I was told 4 different lies from supervisors about where my documents were, including with Lyndel Transport (who are amazing, but that was a lie). I had to reschedule my flight and incurred great expense. Then two days later I was hung up on 4 times as I tried to track down my passport that were “guaranteed” to be delivered before my flight. Unacceptable. I am irate and they have hidden their contact information behind a 1-800 number, so this review is the best I can do to call for change.

I recently ordered a package from overseas to be shipped to a friend as a gift. Tracking information showed the package arrived in Anchorage, but just sat somewhere for over a week with the ominous status: "Delayed - Attention Needed". No details, no other information. Tried calling the 800 number but they were of little help. They said only that the delivery date would be updated soon; not to worry about trying to pick up in person. Each day I wondered about the fate of "The Package". Each day, there came no updates. I reached out to the seller to see if they could find out what was happening. They were able to determine that UPS would not deliver to the address on file (a PO Box), and would not be transfering to USPS as expected. Seller tried to update to a different mailing address but was apparently unsuccessful. Then this morning, the tracking status finally updated -> "Return to Sender". Stated cannot deliver to a PO Box. (Information that would have been helpful a week ago...)Tried calling the 800 number again. The woman I spoke to said not to worry about this - I could stop by the Lockheed location by the airport to pick up the package today. So off I went. I arrived at the UPS facility on Lockheed, and was met by Jenny at the front desk. "Are you picking up a package?" she asked. "I certainly hope so", I replied. I opened with details of my conversation with the 800 worker this morning. The expression on Jenny's face prepared me for potentially bad news. She warned me that if the package had already been designated as "Return to Sender" that it was probably too late. I was pretty upset at the thought that I had narrowly missed this thing being put back on a plane.Slightly exasperated, I launched into the saga of "The Package" and saw her expression brighten. "Vesta?" she called out. "Do you remember that package from the UK going to the PO Box in Chugiak?" Vesta called out from the back that she did. Jenny asked if she knew where it was, and Vesta emerged seconds later, package in hand. The weeks-long saga was over in less than 5 minutes. I'll need to hand off the package myself at this point but I'm happy to do it.Jenny and Vesta are the best. Thank you ladies!!

I would also give negative reviews if I could. Waiting on a package to be delivered. First time I was at work and got a "missed you" tag. Signed the back and left a note to leave the package by the door. Got a second and third tag as well, after I signed and released the package to be just dropped off at the door, due to me having a job during delivery hours. They didn't even acknowledge it. Then they said "returning to sender" wont even let me pick it up at a local location!!! Horrible! Only UPS has given me this much trouble with recieving a package.

I honestly can't believe how terrible my recent experience with UPS shipping has been. I ordered a large, expensive item. The tracking number indicated that it was being held at this location. This is where the problems began. First of all, I live over 100 miles from this hub. That being the case, I decided I'd call and make sure the package was actually there. However, I learned in a very inconvenient way that you CAN'T CALL HERE. In fact, there is no way at all to contact anyone in this building without physically visiting the location inside of their narrow business hours. UPS customer service refused to provide me with contact information and also refused to contact this location on my behalf. This was after they advised me that my package would only be held for five business days and would then be returned to the sender. No extension, no explanation and no resolution and no communication was provided. The customer service representative even speculated that my package was probably lost anyway and tried to get me to file a claim online.Modern technology like cellular phones and email make communication almost effortless. Yet this facility CHOSES to function like some sort of black ops site, refusing to communicate with customers who paid for UPS services. There is absolutely no excuse for this. This is a perfect example of another multinational corporation that's simply too big to care.I was even able to have a good friend visit the location on my behalf. The clerk then informed him that the packages WEREN'T EVEN THERE in spite of the tracking information clearly showing that. They had been transferred to another carrier with no update provided and tracking still showing the packages at this facility and about to be returned to the sender. So, in addition to zero options for communication, the scraps of information that are provided to the paying customer are actually incorrect. Did you drive 150 miles round trip? "Too bad!" Did you fly here from an outlying community? "Too bad!" I did the latter. Literally wasting hundreds of dollars.UPS deserves nothing short of a class action lawsuit on behalf of all Alaskan residents who've been manipulated and mistreated for years by organizations like this one.As for your automatically generated bot reply, I've already had enough of my time and money wasted by your useless "customer service" reps. Why would anyone bother contacting your company for anything when I was denied multiple basic requests for information and communication previously?

Driver:There is a special arrangement with Baxter company for my Dads medication delivery. The drivers are supposed to carry the boxes to the room for storage as these patients can not lift anything. Not only did the supervisor not know this, but the driver put 4 heavy boxes just inside the door. My 91 year old father couldn't shut his front door! It is winter in ALASKA.I am very upset about this.

Disappointing, paid over $200 to have large package shipped to me. Delivery day waited all day and it didn't arrive, 9:30pm sent a notice it wouldn't be delivered until tomorrow. I understand things happen, but make it right. I called the next day at 7am to let them know I won't be home until after 5pm, they said they would update delivery. Driver shows up on my ring doorbell at 1:35pm. Ends up I have to drive over to UPS to get my package because they can't straighten out their deliveries or get in touch with their drivers to inform them to drop off later. IF you look on the website they will charge you $5 for holding the package at one of their hubs, $14 for delivery to another site, but apparently dropping it off to a neighbor is free. Luckily I so far have not been charged extra for their inability to deliver.

Paid for next day shipping, package was moving right along until it got to Anchorage. Now it says Delayed Due To Severe Weather, and the weather in Anchorage right now is clear and not even windy. What’s the severe weather? I paid extra for next day delivery and UPS can’t even deliver. Waste of money, never using UPS again.

I would give them a negative ranking. Again I was home all day yesterday waiting for a package only to receive a Sorry we missed you tag. This has happened every time someone ships me something UPS. I don't think the driver ever gets out of his truck other than to hang tags. You pay for a service you expect to receive it. This is the 3rd time this year. UPS is 0 and 3.

Absolutely useless! I got the street number of my new house wrong, and when they failed to deliver a package, they just sent it straight back to the sender, less than 2hrs after they attempted delivery!! I tried to contact them immediately to correct it, or to see if I could collect it myself, but they just sent it straight back without trying to contact me. How is that helpful to anyone????

Horrible customer service, there is no direct line to see the status of my package. I called customer service to see if I could just pick it up because of whether they said yes. Go to this place and they haven’t even unpacked the shipping crate 2 days after scheduled delivery date. I ask if they can just deliver it then since it’s not unpacked and I can’t pick it up, the lady says she doesn’t have the ability to do that and I have to call customer service. I call them back and tell them to deliver it, 2 days later it says ready for local pick up and they aren’t delivering it. Complete trash service!!!

Don't waste your time trying to contact the local office, they don't pick up the phone. When they call you, they leave a generic voicemail stating what one can find on the back of their delivery slips. That's after you are on hold for 30 minutes with the regular UPS customer service line to get an urgent message to the local office because your live bees will freeze because instead of holding it at their local office as requested, they decided to load it on to their delivery trucks. Julie left the message saying I can pick it up between 7-9 PM... sure, I'll pick up the dead bees...

I wish I could give this zero stars. Both my personal packages as well as vital components for my work facility have been held up for days on end at this facility every single time it's gone through Anchorage. It's infuriating seeing that packages have arrived and just been sitting in this facility for almost a week with 'security check' delays.
