“Highly recommend and the only choice now in my mind for hockey gear! Shawn and Owner Ray were absolutely wonderful and provided top notch service. I was brand new to hockey and they fitted me properly for everything. While finding gear they gave me information about my choices, as well as different quality and style options within my budget. They took the time (over an hour) and made sure I was ready to play and safely! These guys went above and beyond with their customer service and knowledge so I could get out and learn the game! I won't go anywhere else for future gear needs.”

“Went with a friend while she purchased shoes. Not crowded at all. My friend received excellent service in selecting shoes. Lots of places to sit. Another customer, a dad, took his small child outside to run around the cool track that Skinny Raven has for trying out running shoes.”

320 W 4th Ave, Anchorage“I have been shopping at Big Ray's for years. Always a great selection and great staff. The city needs to do something about the panhandling and homeless situation right in front of your door though”
“Had a fun time shopping here, all kinds of neat stuff. Fishing, camping, shoes and boots clothing. I even found and purchased a case of clay pigeons for target shooting. Very cool place to shop.”
“Mike has gone above and beyond for our company. He answers his emails and calls very promptly and gets things ordered for us on the spot. We are beyond greatly for how he goes above and beyond!”
“I am so glad I was finally able to make it to this shop last Friday. What a game changer the Terry bike shorts made for my long bike rides (recommended by staff when I discussed my issues). I'll never buy the usual brands again! I wish I had bought them a lot sooner. I'll definitely be returning to this shop.”
“This is such a great store! Kids grow so quickly it's nice to have a place to get affordable gear! The guy that helped us (I forgot his name) was so nice and patient even though we were there close to their closing time”
“I stopped at this store unexpectedly after our dinner. It’s almost winter time and I was in need for at least one big coat for daily use since I came to Alaska with only summer stuff. Both ladies who were working before closing time today went above and beyond with me! I was looking for a specific style that they didn’t have available in store and was trying things on. The girl was very helpful and knowledgeable even about how I shouldn’t get the white one if I live in the side of town where the snow could be a bit dirtier. I ended up getting my first winter coat with them and the lady at the counter wished me happy birthday and even said, welcome to Alaska. What a wonderful experience with this store even when they were about to close! I’ll be back for more:D”
“My boyfriend and I came here to look for some things we needed for our stay. We were completely and utterly lost- newbs. We needed help. Zac was our savior. He came to our aid, explaining everything and being the best. I wish this place worked on commission, Zac would’ve made out great(note;Zac did not agree that they should work on commission, then they would all be fighting with eachother over customers) . Thank you Zac for your honesty, your knowledge, and your support for these newbs. Great experience 10/10, would recommend. Zac deserves a raise”
“Was inquiring about a pool table repair. The gentleman I spoke with was very kind, and knowledgeable. He quoted me a fair price. Now, we are waiting on the funds to have the table repaired.”

3054 Commercial Dr #3017, Anchorage“Dan the service manager, and Dan the service pro, as well as the guys in Parts we’re all very friendly, hospitable, positive, and helpful. A buddy and I erode our BMW GS’s from Washing to Prudhoe Bay and down to Anchorage. My front tire looks roast, so I called Alaska Motorsports and Equipment (formerly Anchorage Suzuki Arcticat). They had the tire I needed and took the time to fit a me in to mount it. I removed the front wheel in the park lot and in 20 minutes it was mounted, balanced, and replaced. Being from the lower 48 and on a strict itinerary, necessitated that I get a new tire today and the guys at AME made it happen! If you’re going to ride to Alaska, and especially Prudhoe Bay and Anchorage, you can call, text, or emailDan Hannigan at AME and pre-order and pre-arrange service for just about anything. They do tires, sure, but what if you need an oil change or fork seals or any other repair or service? These guys will do their best to make it happen. Of course, calling ahead of time is best, but you never know what will happen on a motorcycle trip…so give these guys a call. I’m glad I did!”
“This store is an Alaskan fishing store. I believe they must ever fishing rig for saltwater or freshwater used in AK. The employees are super knowledgeable and like to help you. They sale the legal size shrimp cages (pots). I purchased a fishing reel and had new line spooled on the reel. It probably didn't the 5 minutes before I was ready to check out. The have other inventory for boats. If you like to fish, you should go and check them out.”

I believe the employees name was Braelynn, she helped me over the phone and in person, she had such a great welcoming personality and helped me a lot, I feel like she went above and beyond what employees usually do to help, other employees there were also nice and helpful, but Braelynn helped me the most, thank you for making my shopping experience a good one!”
“My only complaint is I can't seem to leave without spending 150 bucks. The staff are very helpful. Head of security goes above and beyond for his staff and the customers.”
“The ladies always greet us at the door and once inside we're always offered help, all the workers are always really nice and there clearance section is usually pretty good”
“I got the cutest shoes thsr were platform's they were like 70$, though, but they are nice and fit. The wait time to buy was short, so they get the job done quick”

“We had such a fun day out biking on the e-bikes we rented from Pablo's. Not having ridden an e-bike recently, we were grateful for the detailed instructions we received on the use of the bikes. Then when we were ready to head out on our adventure, Aram saw that we left the shop with everything we would need to enjoy ourselves: bikes, batteries, helmets and pogies. He even helped us load the bikes into the truck as we prepared to head out for Eklutna Lake. The day could not have gone better and to make sure it did, Aram gave us a number to call should we forget any of his awesome instructions or simply need help while we were out and about. I will rent from Pablo's again the next time I am in town!”
