It has not only saved us hundreds of dollars in shipping costs, but we've also been able to ship hazmat items that wouldn't ship to Alaska! Today, we picked up two boxes totaling 145# and saved over $300 in shipping from what we were quoted by the company we purchased from. While customer service can sometimes be less than mediocre, more times than not, the guys in there are awesome, manhandling heavy boxes and loading my vehicle! Carlile is my first thought anymore when ordering anything from the lower 48! These guys/gals work their tail off, don't forget to thank them profusely for their hard work!”

After our local UPS branch mentioned they were out of the printer paper we needed for this project, and could not assist us, the Huffman UPS office stepped in to help. We ordered brochure-type Christmas cards and not only did we get a great price and incredible customer service (kind, friendly and professional), they also pre-folded our cards for us (which has never happened in any other UPS store we've ordered these cards from before). “These people are on their A game. I usually hold packages for pickup here so porch thieves can't steal my stuff, and they're always super nice during pickup. Recently, I had to ship a package internationally though. I went to USPS first, asked for help with custom forms, USPS was rude and did not want to help at all. DHL made everything seem crystal clear and the package made it to the destination no problem. With friendly service becoming harder to find today, I am 100% grateful for the service DHL provides and the people who do it.”

“I got off late from work, but had to get a birthday present out, & got to the UPS Store 《@ 200 w 34th Ave, Anchorage Alaska 99503》, about 15 min until closing on Friday night & there was a gentleman having an issue with the address in front of me, another person in line behind me, then 2 more came in, yet the cashier, Courtney, stayed professional, helpful, courteous & above all, KIND, to each & every person in there & didn't try to rush anything or anyone, nor did she turn anyone away. She was absolutely amazing!”

“Best post office in Anchorage! I have been coming here for over 4 years (I have an online store) and have dropped off hundreds of packages. Lisa and Princess are the 2 greatest customer service people in my lifelong experience with the USPS! Always helpful and always smiling. Not one single issue in 4 years with them at the helm. One of the highlights of my week is getting to see them! They have set a standard of great customer service that I have not found at any other location in Anchorage. Great job, ladies! Thank you!”
“It was amazing, I told the lady that helped me that I didn’t have my slip and lost it and she just took my id and name as well as my address and returned with my package. I was very impressed I was I. And out within 5 minutes. Fastest time I ever had at the Muldoon Post office across from carrs Safeway!”
“I recently ordered a package from overseas to be shipped to a friend as a gift. Tracking information showed the package arrived in Anchorage, but just sat somewhere for over a week with the ominous status: "Delayed - Attention Needed". No details, no other information. Tried calling the 800 number but they were of little help. They said only that the delivery date would be updated soon; not to worry about trying to pick up in person.Each day I wondered about the fate of "The Package". Each day, there came no updates. I reached out to the seller to see if they could find out what was happening. They were able to determine that UPS would not deliver to the address on file (a PO Box), and would not be transfering to USPS as expected. Seller tried to update to a different mailing address but was apparently unsuccessful. Then this morning, the tracking status finally updated -> "Return to Sender". Stated cannot deliver to a PO Box. (Information that would have been helpful a week ago...)Tried calling the 800 number again. The woman I spoke to said not to worry about this - I could stop by the Lockheed location by the airport to pick up the package today.So off I went. I arrived at the UPS facility on Lockheed, and was met by Jenny at the front desk. "Are you picking up a package?" she asked. "I certainly hope so", I replied. I opened with details of my conversation with the 800 worker this morning. The expression on Jenny's face prepared me for potentially bad news. She warned me that if the package had already been designated as "Return to Sender" that it was probably too late. I was pretty upset at the thought that I had narrowly missed this thing being put back on a plane.Slightly exasperated, I launched into the saga of "The Package" and saw her expression brighten. "Vesta?" she called out. "Do you remember that package from the UK going to the PO Box in Chugiak?" Vesta called out from the back that she did. Jenny asked if she knew where it was, and Vesta emerged seconds later, package in hand. The weeks-long saga was over in less than 5 minutes. I'll need to hand off the package myself at this point but I'm happy to do it.Jenny and Vesta are the best. Thank you ladies!!”
