412 G St, Anchorage“This shop is the nicest in downtown Anchorage! When the quilt and gift shops were slated for demolition the owners decided to combine them with their yarn shop across G St and the result is nothing short of amazing. What these people did in this small space with three distinct shops is a smashing success! I highly recommend and will definitely be back! Good job ladies!”
“Absolutely a must see! Their gift shop has all the usual tourist stuff but at better prices and better selection. And it’s very interesting to watch the whole process of how they make the ulu knives. You can even have them laser engraved or customize the handles and in a matter of minutes, your customized ulu is packed and ready to go! I used the one I bought just tonight to cut up our homemade pizza!”
“Stopped by the Oomingmak Cooperative to learn a bit more about qiviut and was not disappointed! Would definitely stop by to meet the wonderful staff and learn about the process behind how qiviut clothing is made.”
“Like this little shop. I would recommend it. Buy gifts for the family and maybe get a hand caved jade peice for yourself or maybe something for the home. Fridge magnets to totem poles. (No kidding)”

Thanks so much Polar Bear Gifts! I’m placing a new order for people I forgot to get souvenirs for.”

501 W 4th Ave, Anchorage“I love oddities.
This place is loaded with so much cool stuff. Super friendly staff.
Out of the many touristy souvenir places, this one is best.”
“Be patient with their hours, usually Mon-Th 11-2 in the main hospital building. Elevate Alaska Native artists from all around the state, and support this totally volunteer-run store.”
“A souvenir shop similar to other places. I went here because there was a used car license plate. There are a variety of clothes, but you need to check carefully before purchasing whether the stitching is good.”
“Overall great place always nice staff cool deals cool stuff. I think her name was koda? helped me out with the right clothes during their sale so i came home with a bunch of clothes i liked. I usually go there for the merch of all my favorite stuff super friendly environment and just wish their store was bigger would have a lot more to buy!”
“This crystal shop is the best crystal shop in the whole country and offers extraordinary customer service! The staff is awesome and the selection is an 11 out of 10!”
“Great little store with a little bit of everything. Went for Almonds and they only had one small bag left; need more almonds for sure. But great chocolate selection and nice selection of protein bars!”
“I would give them 20 stars if I could. The ladies working there knew what they were doing, so sweet and so helpful, genuinely wanted to help me. They had so much energy going back and forth to make sure I had just the fit I was looking for. And when baby was fussy they held my baby, and when I needed to nurse the room was perfect and they brought me some ice water! It is absolutely worth the drive from the valley and so much easier than trying to guess your size in the specialty bra websites!!”
“Knowledgeable and friendly staff; ethical and useful goods; comfortable and logical layout. I love supporting fair trade goods and a local business all at once. I highly recommend Grassroots if you're getting gifts for friends and family, there is something for everyone - like a fun printed shirt for my boyfriend, darling earrings for my sisters, and a few assorted blends of coffee for my mom. I love this store!”

545 W 4th Ave, Anchorage“One of my favorite locally owned gift shops in AK! As a frequent visitor from the lower 48, I always stop in when I'm there to pick up gifts for everyone back home. I've also ordered online when I can't make the trip, great delivery time and it's always personalized. ❤️”
“Bought a very beautiful piece of art for a very good price. Jason was very helpful and kind. Even showed me how the artworks are made in the back. Definitely the best place to get souvenirs”
10AM - 6:30PM
442 W 5th Ave, Anchorage“Very standard souvenir shop for tourists. Almost everything is made in China and not quite creative. Despite the lack of outstandingness, it does its job well. Things are at low-ish price. Appreciate how postcards here are only 30 cents.”
“We couldn’t be happier with the selection of local artists we found in this little shop. We love the selection of Baggallini bags. Sara carries our whole line of Northern Cures Topical Relief Balms & Oils, too ?
Stop by Sara’s next time you’re shopping downtown Anchorage ??”
“Perfect Boutique for gifts!Merchandised with style and stocked with Free People apparel. Decor for home and sweet children’s section.Jewelry and blankets and beautiful robes.Christmas arrived!”
“I wouldn’t say “high end” but has some more pricey items compared to Polar Bear Gifts. I really enjoyed their knife selection and their staff was incredibly helpful and patient. I would definitely visit again and I recommend you checking them out for your Alaska Souvenirs.”
“Will always treasure my carefully selected purchase. Had to choose something tiny for it to safetly fit in my knapsack during flights home. I chose a square blue glass dish with a bear on it. Use it for jewellery which reminds me every day of my visits to beautiful Alaska.”
