Am a resident in Anchorage . 2 weeks ago, had to go to the emergency ward , was diagnosed with Bladder stones. With everything that this Pandemic has thrown at me , this was yet more grief. To add yet more, the department that has to do the procedure is booked solid for at least a couple of weeks, and when the procedure finally takes place, will have to stay in the hospital overnight . The only solution is a medically assisted ride home . At my pay scale , is beyond my means . I was completely at a loss , without answers .I called Easter Seals in Anchorage, to see if there was a solution. I spoke with Carol Griffin , the Director of PCA Services, to see if she had a solution . She was very sympathetic and helpful, not only did she arrange a medical ride assist when the procedure is scheduled, but as a complimentary free service . She helped me make it through this trying time, my heart felt thanks goes out to her

I work both in the office and as a caretaker at Easterseals Alaska. They are all about helping people and they do it in the most professional, yet personable, way. Easterseals has taught me what it means to be an exceptional caretaker and have cultivated my passion for helping people. The people I work with in the office are some of the best people I know - they support each other, and support those in the community with the utmost respect and care. There’s a lot of kindness at Easterseals Alaska. I love going to work everyday.
