“Large and clean. The clothing for young women are great. There’s a big selection. Impressive Lego selection in toys. I couldn’t find a long skirt in a size 10. Everything was short for the upcoming summer, but the weather was still cold. The men’s section was small and not fully stocked and employees stood in the way in that section having a chat near the employee only door.”
“I refused to go to Walmart in the lower 48's but people here for the most part are respectful, helpful and kind. Plus that is a HUGE Walmart i was lost every time I went in lol I'm legally blind/ visually impaired btw.

“Matthew, Vision Manager, is the Best Customer Service person I have ever experienced. I brought in my prescription reading glasses for a nose piece replacement. It turned out not to be that easy. He worked on my glasses for nearly an hour until it was completed accurately and professionally. The whole time he apologized for it taking so long. “I went shopping the other day and every time I look up there was a cop and store employee. Now I'm not homeless and definitely don't look homeless. When I got to the register and they saw that I paid they walked away. I was really mad and hurt by the experience. I work 2 jobs and always pay for whatever I may want at that time. So now when I get off of work I'm going to fred Meyer and simply walk around and act like I'm buying something just to waste there time. People if you find yourself in the same situation being followed by store cop or employee simply walk out and boycott them.”

“I generally shop at carrs(Safeway), but my wife wanted me to bring the son to her work and Fred Meyers was next door so I decided to take a trip to a store that I normally don't visit nor do I care too.
Every year it seems they change the layout and it gets harder to find something that I want every time.
Parking is generally adequate at best, personally I feel they could use more parking.
I had a rather unpleasant experience due to the way product was stacked on shelves when I removed an object another one fell from a higher stack falling to the floor creating a big slippery/ slick mess of peaches and peach juice, I let an associate know about the problem he Shrugged and didn't seem that responsive to it.
Prices are moderate up here in Alaska we will pay pretty much the standard price and they're usually within a dollar(+ or -) of any of their other competitors.
As it goes for actual products on the Shelf there's a wide variety whether it be healthy foods or unhealthy Foods clothing name brand or off brand they carry pretty much everything.
there's even a small Hardware section for the DIY home user don't expect to find large items, but for the quick trip around the corner just to get something to hang a picture or other small Hardware needs.”

“I have to give a shout out to Walmart optical on the Old Seward Highway . I was able to find an affordable pair of prescription safety glasses for pickleball . I looked at 4-5 different optical stores . 3 of them didn't have any . The stores that did charged at least three times as much . The customer service is very good . Everyone is friendly and competent . Pat helped me with my glasses but Everyone there is friendly and knowledgeable. I was especially impressed with the quality of the lenses.”

“You often hear about a supply chain shortage of goods in Alaska, but I have not seen that problem here. This location always has my every day needs, or a very close substitute. You can also buy local Alaskan souvenirs here. The self-checkout is quick and painless.The produce is surprisingly fresh.The curbside pick-up is fast and easy.”

“Don't go to Fred Meyer if you're in a hurry or only want one thing. When you're there I swear this place sucks the $$ right out of my wallet! Some good sales for Labor Day this weekend and I found some new curtains which I'd been wanting recently and I liked these and the deal was too good to pass up! ($30 down to $11.97 per panel) #score! When you shop here regularly and you enroll in their Rewards, they mail you good coupons monthly. This time they gave me a CPN for a free 8 pk of Bubly! “I am not sure if this target has had some shipment issues or what but the last few times I have been I haven't been able to get what I was looking for because they were out of stock and just looking around you can see lots of bare shelves. The store is generally clean although the bathrooms need a good cleaning. The staff is great as always.”

“Exceptional service and high quality items! I first got to know of 6th Avenue because I was looking for warm winter wear that we could rent during our stay in Alaska. As a person who comes from a tropical country, it is very important for me to feel warm despite -30 temperatures. 6th Avenue provided the gear to do that, and thanks to them, I was able to be out all day, comfortably hiking glaciers and hunting aurora without feeling cold at all. Staff were quick to respond to all my queries via call and mail, and thanks to Kate, Aaron and Sally's help, we were able to get the right size of clothes even though we never tried fitting it in their store. They also went above and beyond to ship the items all the way to my hotel in Fairbanks and then have it picked up when I was done using it. Will definitely recommend them for anyone who is coming to Alaska!”
