“We do most of our banking in this South Fred Meyer location. I worked for this company straight outta high school, so I've had a lot of the same stuff for years. I don't care about the upcoming name change. Alaska born and raised folks know - CU1 is for Alaskans. CU1 just doesn't do it for me. It's the convenience of "Global," for me. It's the hours for me. It's keeping the waiting times down for me. Employees are helpful and consistent (what's said here, will stand at the location across the street). Love being able to grab a prescription or a few groceries after my transaction.”

She went the distance and said hello and offered me a coffee! As I returned from teller assisting me she had a cup ready having asked how I take it, cream or sugar?!I express d having an interview and she wrote a note of encouragement. “This is your friendly neighborhood Global Credit Union branch. I have done business and personal banking with them. I go here once a week and listen the staff here is well hired I will say. They are ALL class acts very helpful and going out of their way to be friendly. The wait can be long at times but that is the case everywhere else. I have tested this theory. Let’s be patient everyone, the staff here makes it worth the wait.I will say one last thing. Try starting a new business, starting your life over from scratch, and having zero in Anchorage in 2020. Global Credit Union which was Alaska USA back then and particularly this branch are the ones who said yes to my business account, mortgage, and personal account when others said no. A difficult time in my life and they helped me. Here we are three years later, successful business, mortgage is strong, and you know my personal life is blessed. Maybe too much credit to this place but the good Lord knows they were a part in this plan and so do I.”
“Gerardo helped us get an increase in our credit limit. we were gonna go on vacation so we talked to him a few days before we left and while we were out of state he was super attentive and called letting us know what happens and that we were approved for the credit increases which we were incredibly happy about. at the same time he was also looking over if we could change our auto loan over to cu1. he asked his manager and said the amount we paid was more than the value so we would have to down the difference. i said 2 months time but that has already past and it will take longer than that haha he was super helpful, friendly and attentive. i wanted to gift him a gift basket but wasn’t sure if it was allowed haha just know if u get Gerardo, ur in good hands!
- in general i love this cu1 more than the others. it has a more modern look and style and i can see that the workers aren’t as, robotic? i’m not sure of the word but that we can talk one on one openly and that it isn’t rushed - maybe because they have an open table and aren’t behind a barrier”

I came in to close out an account I no longer needed after paying off a loan and had expected it to take 20 minutes but I was in and out of the building in just over 5 minutes! Was very pleased, will definitely be back if I ever need another account.”

Thankfully no one grabbed it and they were able to put a note on my account and make sure the money made it back in my account when they audited the atm.Also their line/indoor service has always been fast for me. If you do in-person banking on a busy time of month/week, you're going to have a wait anywhere, but at least when I went & there was a long line, they had a full staff of tellers and it went very fast.No, I don't trust myself to remember the right way to use their drive through so I haven't bothered with that in years ?”

“I'd rate you guys 5 stars x4, for all 3 of my vehicle loans with y'all, and maxing my credit limit. I started with you guys back in 2014 when my credit was a 480 at best with about 12 collections from being young and d**** You guys worked with me. Because of that I never missed a payment, I got smart and learned how to make deals with collection agencies to remove negative marks off my credit.Fast forward to now.... My credit is near perfect at 800. I just closed on a my third vehicle loan with you guys, Toyota complimented you guys saying they talk to banks all day and how easy it was working with you, how they like how you guys advocate for your clients(you guys have my back!) and he said CU1 was one of the best banks he worked with.You guys helped me carry over my line of credit from American Express. I hate them. But I have a good limit and didn't want the closing to effect my score so you guys helped me meet my goal and now I can close my account with them and not be robbed of interest anymore. The dealer fiance manager even said they can't come close to the interest I got from y'all.I had nothing but good experiences with you guys since 2014. I'm a life long member. I'm so loyal because you guys offered the tools and advice that helped me get to where I'm at now. Not sure what all the negative reviews are about. I understand y'all are a smaller banking company.
