Great outdoors store. If they don't have it you don't need it.
It's also a stunning display of taxidermy art as well as two very large fish tanks all displaying the fish and animals of Alaska.

I always love Cabela's and I find the experience at all of their locations to be fairly consistent. this was no different and it's definitely cool to shop at Cabela's in AK. If you are a fan then there's not a lot I can say that will give you new information, but that's not a bad thing. We needed to grab a jacket for my wife because, even though it was the middle of summer, we have lived in Las Vegas for several years now and AK summer is about the smae as the dead of winter in our new hometown.
We were able to find her a jacket in the bargain cave to wear for our week there and probably won't wear much ever again. this made us grateful for the bargain cave price. The employees were very friendly and helpful and the whole asthetic was awesome, as always.

No one that works there cares that you're in there. Went through several departments and no one greeted me Or ask if I need help.

I have used their empty parking lot as an after business hours, RC drag strip, and testing grounds for quite a while. I have had employees and management stop after closing, on their way home, and watched the RC cars and loved it. Very nice and very friendly people. Other businesses around town could learn from them and how they treat the public.
5 stars all day long.

They allow RV,,s in the back we stayed for a few days and bought several items from the store for our further outings from Anchorage.

A Alaska Cabela's has lots of products we don't see in South Florida! Great selections & great that they allow people to overnight in their travels in their RV's.
