Never again, used to promote there auctions, I will never again, if you win a auction and don't receive there email with invoice then you don't know you even won till they start charging your bank 25$ a day storage fee, they said well sometimes the invoice goes to spam, and they said we won't call cause they will charge storage fee, this town is too small , I hope that 75$ storage fee for a small box was worth loosing a customer/business owner, and word of mouth from a life long Alaskan

Maybe great for sellers, not so great for buying. Descriptions are not always accurate and sometimes completely INaccurate (recent auction had a biscuit joiner labeled as a planer, and a long description of what an amazing planer it was). You can’t easily inspect the items before bidding and pictures don’t always show the flaws, maybe deliberately? Don’t know. Definitely buyer beware! The 18% buyer’s premium is steep too. Guess without much competition they can get away with it.Edit- in regard to the response from Apex- I understand mistakes happen, and it’s impossible for a small group of employees to know all the details about everything. But going back to the biscuit joiner- if you don’t know what it is, how is it you write half a paragraph about what a great thing it is, when it isn’t? That just points to a focus on marketing instead of accuracy. Honest auctioneers who don’t know what something is will admit it.

My personal experience winning an auction item from Apex was seamless, and I got a great deal. Since then, I occasionally receive emails about new auctions. One of these linked to an auction that included some Tlingit regalia (a button blanket, beaded headband and child’s drum), which was sad to see. However, after discerning a name in a photo of the blanket I conducted some online sleuthing and connected with the owner, who immediately reached out to Apex. And guess what? Apex graciously took down the listing and gave the items to her. She had made the blanket herself and was overjoyed! Apex’s kind actions should tell you everything you need to know about this company.

They assisted my sister in the selling of my late brothers estate. We both live in Wyoming and his estate was in Anchorage. The relief that came from Apex made the burden easier to handle. Thanks for all the assistance.

Awesome Company!! My brother passed away earlier this year. He lived in Anchorage. He left a house and shop filled with stuff. Since I live in Wyoming, I was unable to do this big job myself. Craig and his crew came in and cleaned it all out. 675 lots were sold on the property including guns, vehicles, motorcycles, playboy magazines, books, stuff I didn't know he had, and too much other stuff to mention. They hauled at least TWO TONS of stuff off of the property. The floors were swept clean. Plus, I got paid quickly and well for not having to touch this stuff. Apex is an excellent company to do business with, especially when there is an overwhelming amount of stuff that needs to go live with someone else.

I have only had great transactions with Apex as a buyer. I received what I bid on and the staff was helpful, courteous, and anxious to please.

lying snakes. can not trust this place. buy at your own risk! after roughly 3 weeks of not shipping my paid for auction item i went through over 15 emails on numerous occasions and could not get any - any!! - response. then, likely embarrased at their ways they'd take my call and just set the phone down. they knew they were crooks. finally, after threatening to fully escalate the matter the owner called me and offered to refund my item. so i took them up on their offer. (oh, and after they lied again and said it couldn't be shipped - but it could. and why the wait of 3 weeks anyway?!?) then the snakes maliciously trashed me in hibid commentary. (while they were the nefarious ones!) so now they can truly feel the heat they are due as i will now be suing them. full stop. update: you know they are extra nefarious snakes when apex goes and updates their hibid lies with more new lies post warning. they darn well know: 1) they never shipped nor even responded for weeks of calls and emails (15+). the documents will show this. i 2) after they went completely went dark and ignored my phone calls (snakes, you know you did), i sent an email blast to them. then the owner called me and told me they would refund my purchase. (at this point i had still not received a shipping quote. again, well documented.) finally they refund my money per apex own offer. 3) oh, and speaking of lies - they fought me for days saying it "could not be shipped to me". (again, well documented.) only to later reverse that claim. after court we'll update who has lied(s) and harmed who.

Bought an iPad which was advertised as 4th gen but turns out it's only 1st, was hoping at least 2nd. Will give to my nephew to use. Probably should have went and checked it out before bidding, but I did email the auctioneer twice on hibid with no response or update on the model of the iPad. Just beware of what you bid on could be too good to be true. It could be the people who consigned this thing were trying to make a quick buck and submitted it as a higher end model but who knows.
