I wasn't able to give no stars, because I don't think that they deserve a star at all. I wish that i could take that star back. The people that work in there and the owners even were disgustingly rude and very prejudice to alaska natives. They were obviously harassing, following and all eyes on the few natives that I saw coming in. Of course, there was an alaska native lady working in the store but she also treating the natives customers like they were thieves. They were whispering and telling them right to their face, " I don't think we have what you're looking for in this store." The customer said "oh i'm just looking around". You can tell they were not welcomed in that store at all.Horrible I would have felt violated and embarrassed if they treated me in such a way. I would like to say that I being a white lady was treated with such respect and I felt so welcomed in that store. No one followed me no eyes on me. Geez I felt so welcomed I would suggest that store to everybody that's white. To the employees and owners of Alaska fur gallery i am disgusted with you. You should hang a sign on your door in big bold letters NO NATIVES ALLOWED EVER*EDITED*Because your Mtn Village background shouldn't feel uncomfortable with how some of the employees treat possible your relatives? One of the people I observed getting treated in such manner was actually a gal from Mtn. Village, I'll ask her to write a review on her experience at AK fur exchange after wanting so badly to go to that store during her trip to Anchorage. She was very uncomfortable and said she would NEVER return.I'll delete my post once I see a change in your mannerisms toward Alaska native individuals, because believe it or not I visit your store occasionally. Thank you.

Came in here with my boyfriend and before coming in, his coat ripped all the way down the side. The owner stitched it back up for us as soon as he noticed. It was so kind. Great deals for Fur Rondy!

Don't get caught up in the hype of the salesman. I was barely out the door today when I had regret buying a reindeer skin. Pulled out my receipt...NO REFUNDS. I didn't see this posted in the store.

Love my coat I purchased there this summer. Manuel was very patient with me because I was looking for a unique jacket. When found it we needed some alterations to make it fit me. I love it!!

Horribly poor service. Me and some girlfriends were visiting from out of state and we saw this really neat store. I had never seen actual coats made from real fur so was curious and wanted to check things out. The coats were beautiful but we did not appreciate getting followed throughout the store. The man who was working followed us everywhere and we were the only ones in the store. He would purposely cough/ clear his throat and make noises whenever we would get close to the coats. Like he was scared for us to get near the Fur. I was really curious how the different coats were made and he would laugh under his breath and basically talk down to me when all I was, was curious. When the manager came out she saw us and looked scared, her eyes got huge and she looked nervous. We asked her if we are not allowed to be in the store or if they were closing and she said no they are still open but continued to be weary about us being in the store and was rude . Both of them made us feel really unwelcome and embarrassed. I've never been treated that way ever in my life. They made us feel like we were not good enough to be in the store. I am extremely disappointed with how I was treated. Next time maybe talk to customers/guest who come in and get to know their story before you just assume we are there to do whatever thoughts or scenarios you had running through your head.

Great selection but beware. Gift cards, which is basically cash, can only be used for full price items.

This is one of the best fur retail stores! I bought a coat from them in 2008 that has been a dream! I just made my 2nd purchase a couple of weeks ago & I can’t wait for the cold weather to hit Texas!

The wide selection is the envy of all others. I live the chic modern styles. They had a fantastic selection of sizes too which was really nice. If you want a fur, shop here first. Very impressive.

Miriam, the lovely lady who helped me in the shipping department, is an absolute pleasure to work with. I purchased some earmuffs in Alaska about 7 years ago, and was in need of a replacement this year, so she was very very nice to help me out. I would highly recommend you buy all your fur items from Alaska Fur Gallery!

My uncle is a native and was showing is all downtown. He wanted to buy a hat to keep him warm during the winter at the shipyards.I will admit that we weren't dressed well and yes there was four of us but it wasn't but 2 minutes and she called for customer service. I've been in retail enough years to know they thought we were thieves. That said the products were gorgeous with amazing stitchingI bought a scarf and I love it, will go back again and hope they get better at readi g people!

I had a pair of 20+ year old fur slippers that were in dire need of a refresh. I bought them in anchorage, but didn't remember where. After reaching out to several fur stores I found on yelp and thru google, Alaska Fur Gallery was the only one I could find that did this type of fur repair. I mailed my slippers to them and I couldn't be happier with the results! They were quick, affordable, and maintained great communications with me. They even facetimed so they could show me the extent of the internal damage. They repaired the soles, as requested, but also fixed as much of the internal damage that they could, including replacing the interior lining. As far as I'm concerned, the slippers are like new! Thanks for the great service!!
