They were so helpful in helping me pick out a wine. Otherwise, I would have picked out one with a nice label. ?I was able to fill a basket with goodies and the bottle of wine.

Nice selection of wines not readily available in most major stores. They're also helpful recommending wines according to your preference and budget that's a plus if you like exploring new brands of wines.

I purchased a package for this establishment at an auction so went there this weekend to see what all this entailed.First of all this store is beautifully laid out!I don't know much about wines but Ryan was so helpful on teaching me about the wines.They have such an assortment of items to choose from candles to glasses adult gifts (adult themed sayings on napkins/towels). Such a lovely selection of wines from around the world. This locally owned store is worth the visit.I can't wait to come in February to see what selection of wine is offered and from what region.

Great selection and knowledgeable owner/operators. You won’t find most of these wines in other stores. Locally owned, fair pricing, and outstanding service.The wine club is affordable and you get to pick your bottles from a small curated selection every month-plus you get 15% off every purchase.This month’s theme was Spain and the owner educated me on all the varieties so I could make the best choice for me.I signed up for the wine club today after making a purchase (a bottle Turnagain Brewing Hop Sour) and the owner retroactively give me a 15% discount!They also carry a small selection of spirits, beer, and mixers.

Just had an awesome visit at AK grotto!! Great Alaskan small business. Staff was incredibly attentive and knowledgeable to help find a wine for you. Nicely prices wines focused on small vinyards. The Grotto has a monthly wine club that features newly arrived wines so you can explore new varieties chosen by and Expert! I'm excited for my next visit to find my next great wine!!

They recently went local from a franchise and the service and selection are as great as ever. The "Wines of the Month" program is a great way to try interesting wines from around the globe. We always are glad we found this South Side gem.

Where do I start? The selection of wine is so unique, certainly not your typical grocery store variety by far! They know their wines. Whether I am just picking up my wine club or getting a bottle for a special occasion, they can tell me about each and every bottle! You can feel comfortable walking in and saying, "help, I don't know what to get". Seriously, worth the drive from Eagle River to South Anchorage....thank you!
