We love AK Starfish and have bought from Marci’s stores for years- always a must stop when company is in town for her Alaskan designed wear and gifts- Anchorage, Seward and Homer so many locations to choose from- just bought new sweatshirts for all the boys in my family

Absurdly expensive for low-quality clothing, and the pushiest salespeople I have ever experienced - they just would not leave me alone. I was followed around the store and given a running narration about how "AH-MAZING" everything I looked at was, nattering monologues about the materials, possible uses, the lady last week who bought 3 and loved them, etc. I felt harassed. The faux-cheerfulness and excessive helpfulness evaporated when I didn't end up purchasing the sweatshirt (~$70 for a thin, unremarkable cotton/poly blend) that they heckled me into taking up front after I'd tried it on. I'm guessing the salespeople work on commission so I supposed I can't blame them. But - yuck.

The BEST LOCAL business! I have been shopping at this store for years and I still find new items that I cannot do without every time I go in. A great location for finding gifts and the girls are wonderful and willing to help. It is a MUST to go to the Seward and Homer locations during the summer season as well!!

Buyer beware! No returns - exchanges or in store credit only. There’s no prior warning and they just say it’s on your receipt- which you obviously receive AFTER you’ve purchased :( I’m all for supporting small local businesses but give people some grace for gifts!

Great qualityT shirts run small if you wear a medium order a large.Sweatshirt/hoodies are super soft.Excellent company that represents Alaska well.

The business owner MARCI is a bipolar micro managing Karen!! The store could really benefit from more maturity out of its owner. I would avoid spending all your hard earned money on overpriced clothes. Please consider supporting other small businesses before wasting money in this catastrophe of a business. Preserve your mental health and shop elsewhere!

My favorite shop to get unique and local items! The staff is always so warm and friendly and super knowledgeable regarding where products are made and by whom. I love shopping small and supporting local companies and artists and Ak Starfish Co makes that easy to do. It’s a one stop shop for gifts and fun items.

WAY overpriced!!! And return policy sucks! Exchange or in store credit only! Bought some items including a small hydro flask water bottle. The price of the water bottle wasn’t on the bottom and I didn’t even think to ask then after I got home and started thinking about how much the bill was for a water bottle, couple stickers and cards I looked at the receipt. $51 bucks for the water bottle alone!! I ended up finding the same water bottle I bought at Nordstrom Rack for $23!! I know it doesn’t cost THAT much to have a logo added to a water bottle. Everything you pick up in that store is excessively priced! And on top of that they won’t accept returns, only exchanges! Lame!

Definitely spendy. Trendy Alaskan logo wear and goods. For some reason the front door was propped open when it was less than 5 degrees outside. It's too cold for that! I would have stayed in the store longer if it had been more comfortable.

Wouldn’t recommend this franchise as they don’t do any returns and they don’t tell you they don’t. I bought a 4T hoodie for my nephew that was $48 two days ago. My husband wanted me to return said baby hoodie upon finding out that it wouldn’t have been the right size and wanted me to return it as he didn’t want to get something that wouldn’t fit him (family lives out of the country). My receipt didn’t say there were no returns allowed but the sales associate wouldn’t allow me

We spent over $600 on gifts in this store. I purchased 3 chapsticks from the bowls they have at the front by the register. I never thought to open them to make sure they were new. When I got home, one of them looked good and the other two looked messed up with the chapstick melted and one had a hole in the middle. I tried to exchange them and they said “Well they’re hand crafted so they may look like that. We can’t just take them back because we’d have to throw them away. If the person you’re giving it to is concerned, just tell them they’re new and haven’t been touched because they’re right here at the front. We can’t open them all and look because of covid.”After spending that much money in their store, the right thing to do would have been to let me exchange the two messed up chapsticks or comp a couple of them if they don’t want to take the messed up ones back!Also beware... they try to sell some things that they claim are made in Alaska but are actually made in California. I brought that to one of the girl’s attention and she seemed clueless to that fact.

This company is spectacular!! I’ve been shopping here for years and each time I have an amazing experience. The girls who work at the store are always so welcoming and helpful. Not sure who’s training these ladies their great customer service skills, but keep it up!

I LOVE AK STARFISH!! The hoodies are super comfortable and are great quality. They carry some super cute, locally made products that are great for gifts. I also love that they support local artists! Whether you’re just visiting or are Alaskan grown, this is the place to go.
