Have known Mr. Jones for years. He's serviced our family's machines for as long as I can remember. He can usually tell you over the phone if your machine is fixable without having to come out & charge you a service fee.

Made an appointment for 3:00 p.m. and they never showed up and failed to contact us (they had our number) to say they would be late or that they had to cancel the appointment. Absolutely TERRIBLE customer service as well as failure to demonstrate common courtesy.

Mr. Jones of the eponymous appliance repair service is one of those customer service gems that you don't find or experience very often. The control panel on our oven died, and after I poked around at it, we decided to call in a pro, and friends recommended that Mr. Jones be the one we called. He made a house call ($50) to diagnose the situation, and found it to be irreparable. The parts were not available in stock (front-panel ovens are evidently enough of a rarity to prevent places from keeping the parts on hand) and would have to be special ordered. When the parts arrived and Mr. Jones returned to make the repair, he discovered that an additional part the dealer told him he needed to order was already included with the main piece. Rather than slipping that into our final bill, he took it back to try to return it, and he said the house call charge from the first visit would cover both times he came out. The oven works now (broke in the new control panel with a pizza!) and all thanks to some honest, excellent service from Mr. Jones.
