Jim Parker sold me this rifle a few years back. He did not disclose that the barrel was cut and then stretched back to original length. I was new to gun collecting at the time and believe that Jim Parker took advantage of me. At the time, I asked Jim about the gun barrel. He told me that he was unaware of it being cut and stretched, as he didn't personally the gun, but was selling it for someone else. As an experienced gun dealer, Jim Parker should have be aware of what he is selling. I will never do business with him again and would warn other people to be careful in their business dealings with him.

I visited the gun shop before he started his store about 4-5 years ago and he showed me 2 Kentucky longs and asked me to pick the real Kentucky long rifle and I picked the one he made , he is remarkably talented and a friendliest man you could meet.

Jim has built 2 rifles for me. And I couldn’t be happier with the quality of his work and the attention to detail that he brings. His guns are historically accurate, have great lines and architecture, and carry a lot of artistic detail.
I commissioned him to do each rifle, and in both cases He added a few small artistic touches to the final product that made each gun a little better than what I had initially asked for or even anticipated. Jim is also a shooter, so he understands what goes into producing not only a beautiful gun, but one that will perform well on the range or in the field. If he makes something for you, you won’t be disappointed. And he is a good guy to boot!

Jim Parker is a one of a kind Man. He is a big brother to all as well as a friend. His word is from the heart and you can count on the task at hand will be done to perfection. The craftsmanship experience and thought will be unmatched as he is building a Longrifle or any other type of firearm that he maybe working on. His Skills are honed from hard experience and much schooling, long hours are spent on each rifle, as its starts from your idea and discussing with Jim what type of rifle that fits your style. This Longrifle will shoot with perfection or it will not leave Jims hands. I know this for a fact. Its has been an Honor to be in Jims shop and to hangout with him and watch him shape a 4' or 6' long block of special wood into a beautiful Longrifle Stock. The patchboxes, inlays and engraving are to perfection with powerful thought and his trademark that honors our Heavenly and loving Savor. God Bless Jim.

Great work, such details on each gun! I would recommend Jim to build your one in a lifetime rifle! If you want to learn how to build your own rifle there is none better than Jim to teach you. Love the three crosses on each gun!

Quite a guy and skilled long rifle builder. He and his wife were gracious hosting at their home and taking us to dinner later that week. New and novice builders will leave Jim's shop with more knowledge and skills than they arrived with.
