In November 2022, I took a beautiful clean Avanti full length Mink coat to Collage for consignment. Collage has sold Mink coats for me along with designer hand bags,I called end of December to see if coat had sold and was told no. I called back in January and it still had not sold. On February 23rd I called and told the Collage employee that I would just like to pick the coat up. She looked up my account and said it sold! I said that is great! She said you have check coming in the amount of $ 499.00. It should be ready in March to pick up.Collage consignment states item sold will have check ready to pick up after 15" of the following month item is sold. I called on March 17h and no check.I called back on March 22nd and was told to check back in two weeks they are getting ready to move and checks are late. She said if you don't have it by 31st you can come by here pick it up. I went to Collage to speak to someone and they were closed down. A note on door (see attached) stated if you are due a check they will be mailed on April 30 I received no check. I call the Collage phone number and the mail box was full. The letter on door said to watch the FB for information. I comment on post of FB and someone reply to email to investigate my check. Days later still no response. I found another email address and sent the same message (see attached and received a message saying they would forward to Owner (see attached and they asked what email address I sent the original message to and I forward that information. I then received a message that they needed my address with I sent and someone would be in touch with me my Friday. Never hear back. They have stolen $ 499.00 from me and possibly others.Just filed report with vestavia police department. Please do this also if you be taken. It's called " theft by deception"

YOU PLAID ME AT HELLO!I have been dying to check out this consignment shop. Though I don't spend too much time in Vestavia Hills, I am beginning to become a little more familiar with what's around in each area of town. Had come to Vestavia yesterday, to finally try Davenport Pizza. When I first got here, I realized that Collage was a few stores over. The reviews of this place are very hit or miss, but the amount of clothing and high end items in this store are insane. They have a good selection of everything from the most casual booties to formal ware like wedding dresses and gowns. This is definitely a one stop shop. It was also very nice to see that they had an entire section of clothing for curvy women. Not everyday you will see signs and a whole section of both fashionable and affordable curvy women's clothing so bravo on that. Though I did not buy anything, I still was happy that I had come inside this store. If you are ever in the area and want to stop in for gifts for friends or a little something for yourself, I highly suggest coming into Collage. You never know what you ,ought find.

I'm so disappointed with this place sincerely new ownership. Very poor service. My item was dropped off the last of June. The item sold the for of July. After many attempts to receive a check, after being told numerous times to " come back next week ", I'm finally picking up a " small " check almost three months later. Disappointed that my check was less than 50% of what I paid for the item. I could have sold it outright for much more money. Previous experiences here have offered greater resales. Ripped off. Worse experience with these people. Not happy with the new owners.

I tried twice to unsuccessfully bring my clothes in for consignment. The first time I dropped them off in the summer and never heard back. When I called in the fall they had forgotten to put my clothes out and they were sitting in storage for 3 months. By then they were out of season. Went again and apparently they changed to appointment only. A rude customer was taking up all the employees time treating them like they were her personal shoppers so the staff didn't have time to answer my questions or help me schedule an appoinment. The customer picked out a lot of items and changed her mind at the last minute then just plopped her stuff on the counter and shopped more while the staff just waited for her an refused to help anyone else. I will just donate my clothes to Salvation Army than support these people .

I consigned over $300 worth of men's and women's clothing and shoes at the end and of April 2021. After 60 days I called to check status and was told that they (*now) keep items for 90 days and to call back later. She told me two women's items had sold but wouldn't be paid until almost a month later. *When I consigned in the past w/the original owner, I remembered the time frame being 60 days - which also allowed them to turnover seasonal clothing more quickly. These days the turnover is so long that out if season clothing is still on the racks at the front of the store. Ultimately, I called to check status on my April/May consignment several times over the next 2-3 months and was told they showed no money for me. *I recall the former owner had a checkbox on your info sheet that asked if you wanted your unsold clothing back. Recently, I found out that they had donated my unsold items w/o giving me a chance to retrieve them. Meanwhile, in Mid-October, I had taken another load of clothing up there, after my husband passed. It wasn't until then that I was told they no longer took men's clothing. No one mentioned that previously. I went to the store this weekend to inquire why the delay in checks, unsold clothing being donated w/o my knowledge, and to check status of my current items there. The woman who was there (not sure if she's the new owner - a mature African American female) essentially tried to put the blame on me for their problems. She also insulted my "kitten heel" shoes saying "yeah, nobody wants those"! She goes into the system and tells me they didn't have my address, phone, or email in the system, yet kept saying, "well, you should have ...". I showed the women my phone/calendar records of how many times I called to check on my items. And this was the kicker- she told me that the items I brought in in October would not be finalized/closed out until February. That is beyond 90 days, I told her. Her response was that the clock doesn't start ticking until they input your items into the system! So, mine hadn't been input until DECEMBER. That's an easy way for customers to lose track of their items. I have no faith in the new ownership. This lady was rude and condescending (asked me if I wanted a job b/c she couldn't get decent help). Note: I have had gainful employment since age 14. I work full-time and probably work more hours than she does. While you might like shopping there, BEWARE of consigning there. This new owner has no control over inventory or personnel. I truly think this woman is the owner yet she kept referring to the owner in third-person. The atmosphere is very off-putting to me here. I told her I would never consign anything there again. She was flippant about that, too. Lately, I understand there is a pandemic and businesses are struggling. I get it. But, if you want to stay in business and keep customers, you don't insult their intelligence or their consigned items! Suck it up and say you made some mistakes. Ask for suggestions on how to prevent those (instead of arguing and blaming) in the future and offer a consolation to the customer you've screwed.
