The only reason I'm even giving a One Star rating is because you can't leave it blank, you have to at least give one star.Honestly, that should tell you all you need to know there.My fiancée and I began looking for a used car last February at Benton Nissan. From the moment we walked in until now, 10 months later, I am reminded of what a horrible decision it was to choose Benton.Funny enough, I've bought 2 cars from them previously. However, if my first experience had been like my last, that's exactly what it would have been, my last. I'm writing this review in the hopes that someone will read it or hear it and save themselves a lot of money, time, and frustration.I'd like to think that even in a male dominated industry, the employees would change with time. Not so much! They don't want to change, even if it's the female buying the car.We went to the dealership on a Thursday evening and they were not busy. My fiancé and I walked in togetherand a salesman immediately came over to greet us. That's what one would assume, but no. He introduced himself to my fiancé and him only. He then led us outside to the lot so we could see what he thought would be great and fit our needs.We immediately began to laugh because the car he was showing us, was the one car we’d never purchase. If he’d talked to us beforehand, he would have known that. There were not any questions asked or talk.We decided on a 2017 BMW X1 and have had nothing, but problems with the car, but more so with Benton. When we purchased the car, I’m getting in, ready to go and I notice there is less than 1/10th of gas in the car. The light was even on. I run back inside to let them know and he says, “We don’t fill them up with gas, unless it’s brand new.” WOW! It was brand new to me. Looking back, I should have returned it then. It has been nothing but repeated troubles with the car and more importantly, the staff at Benton Nissan Hoover. I hesitate to even use the term “staff” it’s like walking into a Fraternity House.Since purchasing the car 10 months ago, we have had to replace the brakes. They said that from the beginning that would be done. What are you doing I was scheduled for an appointment to come in one day at 10. I left the dealership at 2:00 that day and nothing was done to my brakes. Nothing. Also, there was no communication during this time.There was a chip in my windshield that was to be replaced immediately. When I continued calling the dealership to get an answer about the windshield, a man in the finance office helped. He was the only positive interaction I had with anyone. He was trying to fix all the mistakes. Took the day off work to have it installed. Apparently, it had been cracked and they couldn’t put that one in. So, again I take time off, the next day, to go have it replaced, again!@BentonNissanHoover9 months in, we’ve replaced 4 tires, the windshield, brakes, there’s an oil leak, and now that it’s getting cold, the heat doesn’t work.We had to go back to the dealership after the purchase, to do new paperwork because they made a mistake on the original.During all of this, there was not an overflow of apologies. Every time we had to go back, we were treated like they were doing us a favor. This was one of the, no, it was THE worst car buying experience ever. I will never go back, refer, or recommend this dealership to anyone.OH! One last thing. Our salesman specifically told us not to purchase the Extended Warranty because it was a 2017 BMW with less than 80k miles.So, now, after the first review, I wrote, we were called by the lady who runs the service department. She wanted to see what our issues were. She continued to go back to saying, “you should have purchased the extended warranty.”Funny thing is, your salesman told us not to. I hope I have saved you some heartache and some money by writing this review. I will never stop telling this story. Car shopping online seems to be the best option now.

Thorough service so far. Did a real comprehensive multi point inspection. Gave me a printout of the repairs needed and cited urgent repairs I should look into my warranty to fix soon. Suggested a diagnostic to diagnose service engine soon light as well.

Technician was not friendly. The person that interacts with customers did not provide all of the pricing changes upfront. I was not happy with my treatment nor service. I will no longer patronize your faculty at Hoover Nissan.Service: Oil change

Flat tire repair. Arrived at 7:00. There was NO communication until 1.5 hours later when I sent a text message asking how much longer. 10 minutes later the answer was the car is in the shop. Tire needed to be patched. It was after 9:00 before someone came out and said the car was finished and gave me the receipt. I was not told what was wrong with the tire. If I had known it would take over two hours I would have left the car. I missed an hour and 45 minutes of work that I didn’t get paid for. So this tire repair costed me almost $90.00 total.Services: Tire rotations

Very bad experience. There was some sound at the bottom of the car they said to diagnose the issue they need 2 to 3 days.... Also regarding head light recall I have been their on May 13 2022 and placed an order even after 3+ months still not replaced.. also I was there for an issue in gear rod 6 months back the estimate given was $1400 where the item cost $600.. I got it replaced it outside for $800 too bad and very high cost...Services: Vehicle Inspection

The fact, I asked the wait time before I decided to get the services was great. Then the waiting area was very accommodating with complimentary cold water bottles, and a variety of other snacks for purchase. The machine takes only debit/credit cards.Services: Tire rotations

I was greeted right away. Waiting area was clean and so nice to have a free water while waiting since it’s been so hot lately. I didn’t have to wait to long and that goes a long way in my busy schedule.Service: Oil change

We had recalls for our 2013 Altima SV. They took care of previous recalls, so we KNEW they’d do a great job, just like they did in the past. Professional, courteous and on time. Devin called us at different times to give us updates, and we truly appreciated it. We LOVE this car and wouldn’t trust it to anyone else.

My car was dropped off on a Friday afternoon. I got a call saying my car would be looked at first thing Monday morning. I finally received a diagnosis Thursday. Said that I had a leaking transmission cooling hose. I called several times to get updates on my car and never got a call back. Finally my wife got ahold of someone that next Monday and I got my car back just before they closed. I had to pay for a rental for 10 days for a hose replacement. Save yourself some time and money. Go somewhere else.

They really did a excellent job on getting me and my husband is vehicle they explain everything Angie was really really good. We really appreciate it we really appreciate her being honest about everything. I would definitely buy another car from them.

I took my wife's car in for electrical issues for an appt at 8:30am. No one called or updated us all day. We left 3 messages. They called the next say saying they can't even look at it another day or two. So what's the appt for????When we asked for a rental they stated they didn't have any. So we took the car to another place who saw us same day.Service: Electrical repair

This dealership has the potential to do good work. However, the majority of the time, the service is not up to par in regard to customer satisfaction and top notch quality of service. Most salesman don’t have the “customer first” mindset and are fine with mistreating customers. I had to call multiple times a day for almost 2 months just to get mats that came with my car. I also had to wait a day longer for my car and when I came to get it when they said it was ready, it still had plastic in it that wasn’t removed. I have had one visit from around 6 plus that I have been satisfied with. And that one good experience from 6 was a routine oil change and tire rotation. Management needs to take ownership of the business they are aiding in running and add more accountability to their staff.
