The ladies working there are fun and just amazing! Reuben sandwich was on point and fresh! Homemade Brownie to complete the meal! Even got to grab a beer. So glad I stopped in today. Great food, cold beer, and spectacular conversationl!!! :)) I will be back!!!

I was wandering the back roads of Valley Grande, AL Came upon "The Store". It reminds me of the old time country store that used to sit at the very same spot years ago. I went in and grabbed a cold coca-cola to cool off, I saw they had cooking, asked what was on menu, she told me, I chose fried catfish, Mac n' Cheese, purple hull peas, collard greens and cornbread. It came under $10.xx for meat n three. She also brought out a couple of samples to try, one was a fish taco, it was soft taco style, it had fish, coleslaw but with a kick. The chicken salad was very good also, tasted fresh and much like my mother used to make, just good Southern chicken salad... A pleasant lunch, decent price, Friendly owner, makes it a must stop for beverages and lunch.
