i live here and i hate it. all the good reviews are obviously paid. no business gets equal amounts of 1 star and 5 star reviews unless they are paying for them.

This place is atrocious. Routinely lie about giving free rent credits. Filthy hallways. Everything in the room is leaking or broken. Office is full of uneducated individuals who provide zero assistance. Work orders never attended to. If you have a student you are sending here, DO NOT DO IT. The cops are responding to violence here routinely at this point, not safe for your child. And a miserable, stressful experience for them regardless.

Extremely disorganized mess. Save you and your child the trouble, and find somewhere else. (From an active student/resident)

There are so many distasteful things about this complex but if I had to say anything it would be, if you want your student to have a focused, relaxing, happy, and healthy school year. DON’T move them here there will always be an issue with this apartment complex apart from the constant feeling of not being safe, filthy hallways, filthy elevators, and filthy elevator lobbys etc. Every crevisce of the complex has a smell. The nicest place on the entire property is the leasing office funnily enough.

Established horribly. Been here no more than 2 weeks & I’ve had 2 rats in my apartment. consistently plumbing issues, maintenance issues. That has yet been fixed, I don’t appreciate paying a monthly fee for an unsanitary, unsafe, & poor establishment. No one is trying to work anything out with me just pushing it off to the next guy

Hello, this email is for the manager. My son Rowen, along with his 2 friends, chose these complex apartments to be their first place to leave off campus, they were very excited to move in until today. First, who in their right mind set only one day for everybody to move in, it was chaos in the lease office, long lines to pick up the keys and long waiting, the volunteers were running around like chickens without their heads. There were a lot of parents and students with complaints. When it was my son's turn to show his folder and get his key, they couldn't find his key, they told him to sit down and wait and took his folder. After 20 minutes waiting, Jordan came to us and asked if there was anything that he could help us with because he noticed we were sitting there for a while waiting. My son told him the situation and he immediately went to see what's going on with my son's key, he came back right away with the folder and key, we said Thank you and went on our way up to his apartment. Needless to say, when we left the office premises, the hallways and elevators were trashed, dirty and smelled awful. So, we went up, hallways are disgusting, the door that directs to the parking garage from the 3rd floor hallway was full of trash all over the floors. Finally when we arrived at their apartment, the keys did not work, after several trips to the office to get the keys to work, one of my son's friends, Mom , came back with one of the volunteers to open the apartment. Another disappointment, the apartment was trash. The walls were dirty, floors dirty, it was disgusting, I don't believe for a minute that the manager of this place will let his/her kids stay in a place like that. As a Mom, I didn't want to leave my son in a place like that, my son's bedroom was unleavable, since it was under repair, the sink was out in the bedroom, and supposedly the bathroom had a leak. At this point my son did not have a place to stay. I had to go because I was carpooling with another family from Huntsville and they were leaving around that time. My heart was broken thinking that I was leaving my son in a place like that. After I left, about one hour later, my son called me and said "great news Mom", they said we were in the wrong apartment and they took us to the right one and it is very nice and absolutely looks like an apartment. I was relieved by the news and at ease. He said when he and his friends were getting settled, two more students showed up saying that was their apartment, my son and his friends were puzzelded because theirs is a 4 bedroom apartment and there were the 3 of them and 2 more students?, did not make sense. Once again, they had to call somebody to figure it out. Once more, my son called me and told me "I have bad news", my heart sink, because at this point I was one hour away, he proceeded to tell me that they told him that, they have to moved back to the trashy apartment because these two students were in the right of stay in this other apartment. That's when my son and the other 2 roommates put their foot down and said they are not going back to the other place. After a long day and frustrations, disappointments, they placed my son and his friends in a hotel until Friday when they could move to an apartment newly renovated, according to the leasing office. This was the worst experience ever. These will go to the reviews for The Lofts, and I will send a letter to the BBB in Tuscaloosa.

Don’t understand how there are any good reviews for this place (they are paid reviews). Absolutely disgusting, roach and rat infested with dog poop in the hallways. The management is absolutely terrible and unprofessional. They will find any and all ways to charge you more money. If you have a problem after hours you’re honestly screwed because the after hour maintenance is not a thing with them. We were locked out of our apartment ALL night with no help and had to sleep in our cars. Ended up getting in the next day by ourselves and maintenance finally came TWO DAYS LATER to change our locks. It is insanely unsafe for someone that cannot protect themselves, I was counting down the days until move out day JUST to get charged $500 with no proof of damage to the room. I was owed a $300 gift card and my roommates were owed $1000 and you could probably guess we never got that even though it states it on my lease. I’m surprised they aren’t shut down by now. The city of tuscaloosa has been all over the Lofts for forever so please do your research before moving here. And not to mention what just happened at the Lofts recently leading to gun shots. There’s constantly cops and fire trucks outside at night (should tell you what you need to know right there) so I didn’t think twice about it, later to figure out someone has been shot. And God forbid you need to speak with a manager because you can’t speak with her unless you set up an appointment because THAT MANY people have complaints they need to speak with her about. And God forbid you have an issue with what they are charging you because you might as well kiss all your money goodbye.

I was guarantor for apartment in 23-24. It was filthy at move in, took many calls to get any response, never for all things resolved, this place is "ghetto" and just above third world. the facade of the building and pics online are NOT representative of the actual apartments. Moving out to another place. Not safe for young women either. Squatters and vagrants because of no working security on doors and parking gates.

I want to give a huge shoutout to Grace Fannin who I have not only had the pleasure of speaking with over the phone, but also got to meet this lovely in person when we came to move my son home from UA. My son will be living at the Lofts this Fall and Grace graciously answered many of my questions over multiple calls. My husband and I visited in person and lucky for us, Grace was there to greet us with her infectious smile and bubbly personality!! She's such an asset to the Lofts..keep doing what you do Grace..you are a rockstar!!!

DO NOT LIVE HERE NO MATTER THE PRICE! it is roach and mice infested, the place is filthy, parking garage gates are broken so anyone comes and goes, move in day was awful bc my unit was absolutely disgusting and it took days for them to replace the carpet and that’s all they did. They promised a $1000 gift card upon first months rent paid and I still haven’t gotten it. I even signed a legal document stating I was to receive it. I promise you, you do not want to live here. The website pictures are a lie. This place honestly should be shut down and condemned.
