Plenty of rental unit companies around, but none as easy to work with as Metro. They’ve been in the business for a very long time and know how to treat their customers. Also my first call when I need a rental van, always new, clean, and maintained well. Always great rates on job site trailers. I Can’t say enough good words about these guys.

I have been renting an indoor climate controlled unit from here for almost 5 years. It’s a nice facility and I recommended it highly to others. However, this business has come under new management since COVID and things have changed.
They now lock the the doors to get to the indoor units outside of business hours for inexplicable reasons. I have made many trips here before in evening hours to get stuff, I don’t want to have to be forced to move stuff during the hottest times of the day. People tend to work during the day as well so there is a very small time frame to even go here outside of Saturday or Sunday. I’d really be pissed if I had to take time off work to get something during the week that couldn’t wait until the weekend.
There’s already a security gate with code access, why are you locking indoor units? I pay more for an indoor unit, but the people with outdoor units can access their storage 24/7? Who benefits from the locking of climate controlled building doors? Certainly not the paying customer. Also, the last time I was able to make it during business hours the gate was already open for anyone to enter which was never the case before.
I can no longer recommend this place and will be finding a new place where my belongings are not inaccessible the majority of the day.
Edit: I am supposed to meet with someone from Facebook marketplace to sell them something I had stored in my storage unit. It’s Sunday and they’re supposed to be open until 2 pm. I got here a little after 12 to find that they’ve closed early with no notice. I checked to see if the climate controlled unit doors were locked and they were, awesome. As I’m pulling out I see another car pull in and access their items in their outdoor unit, which must be nice.
I now have no way to get the item from my storage and the person paid in advance. Tomorrow is a holiday and I don’t know if they will be open or not. Of course there isn’t any signs about it on the door and nobody is there to answer the phone. The only time I’ve ever heard from this place is if there has been a problem processing payment.
I cannot stress how awful this place is.
