Normally we dread the process of negotiating and purchasing a new car, but our salesman, Joseph helped facilitate the experience. He was professional and courteous throughout the whole visit and provided a great deal of information about the vehicle's controls before leaving the dealership. We left feeling 100% satisfied with service and purchase price. I would strongly recommend both Joseph and the dealership personnel to anyone shopping for a new Mazda.

Highly recommend Tuscaloosa Mazda. They are kind and very helpful people. Never once did I feel uncomfortably and pushed into something I don't feel okay with. The whole process from test drive, trading in my car, to purchasing our car was so smooth. We love our new vehicle! Sawyer was absolutely great and he was super kind, professional, and was the perfect salesperson to help get us through this big decision. Thank you!

We are overseas currently ( so operating with a local attorney and Power of Attorney) my 18 year old son was shopping for a car and the salesperson refused to mail the paperwork- instead insisting that he be allowed to drive to my attorney’s HOME in Huntsville that day. It was the last day of the month so I’m assuming he wanted to meet his quota. My son offered to hand carry the papers or asked them to mail them to get the necessary signatures and the salesperson refused. I got on the phone asked to speak with a manager and was denied. This was after he preached to me about Jesus, and demanded I “walk in faith” when I requested the car be checked out by a mechanic. Don’t use this dealership if you’re military or a young buyer.

Poor communication from start to end. Never experienced taking days to complete purchasing. Secondly, repeatedly calling and messaging for paperwork to drive and register vehicle. My overall experience was very stressful and my only reason for 2 stars is on behalf of the salesman. The finance manager will not talk with you or have any means of interaction. Very unprofessional company and I do not recommend working with this company. They also target high end APR financing resulting you having to find other lender on your own with better rates. Most companies search for better rates for their customers. I do not recommend this company to anyone. The certainly do not have the customer in mind. The car was sold nasty not cleaned. See attached photos.

I took my car in for an oil change, to check some squeaking that was happening when I hit my brakes, and an overall check on my brakes and filters. I was charged 90 dollars for my oil change, mind you I have a mazda which is why I brought it here. I have gotten my oil changed for 50 at other places. They also told me my brakes and filters all looked good. I drove this same car across the country to go home for the summer, I'm a UA student, and when I got home my dad checked everything for me for peace of mind. My brakes were paper thin and my filters were disgusting, and they didn't tell me. I'm a college student and don't have the equipment or knowledge to check this stuff on my own. It felt extremely lazy and that they took advantage of my age and gender when they charged me 90 dollars.

I purchased a 2004 Mustang from them. The car had obviously been wrecked and the window was broken. I stupidly bought the car site unseen but was not informed of the issues it had. when I reported it to the salesman I was basically told that there was nothing that could be done. It was sold as is. I'm still waiting for the paperwork for this car. I cannot get it registered and I have called them every day for the past 3 1/2 weeks and still cannot get a response from them. If you use this car dealership use caution I don't believe they are on the up and up.

I've always been a Kia girl. After the way I was treated at Mazda I'll definitely be back. If your looking to buy a good used car from an HONEST dealership go to Mazda and ask for SAWYER!!!!!

I've only ever written five star reviews but after my recent experience with Tuscaloosa Mazda, I feel compelled to leave a comment in the hopes that this might prevent someone from dealing with the same situation. Although there has been almost seven weeks of back and forth in order for my issue to be resolved, I'll try to keep this short and simple:If you're able to drive off the lot and have no issues arise afterwards, then I'm sure you'll have a nice experience. In the event that something comes up, I wouldn't expect much in the way of communication, responsiveness or proactivity from the team, specifically the managers. To make a long story short, I went to the dealership on April 28th to trade in my Chevrolet lease to get a new Mazda -- I was able to drive off the lot in my new car within a few hours. A little over three weeks later, I found out from GM Financial that my car had not been paid off, that I now had a late payment on my account and that I wasn't allowed to trade a Chevrolet vehicle into a Mazda dealership. My issue wasn't with the fact that the Mazda employees who helped me didn't know that wasn't allowed (even though, in theory, they should have asked to make sure). My issue was with the fact that they allowed my paperwork to sit with the accounting department for almost a month without realizing that they needed another signature from me.There's a ton of back and forth from there but to make a long story short, for almost seven weeks, management at this Mazda dealership allowed me to have two car loans in my name (totaling almost $70,000), they allowed a late payment to hit my GM Financial account (and instead of them making that payment, I had to pay almost $500 for a car that was in their possession so that GM Financial wouldn't take me to collections over it), they allowed paperwork to sit idle with the accounting department TWICE (once for over three weeks and once for almost a week), and their lack of responsiveness or proactivity in trying to get this resolved made it so that I had to be the one to call constantly in order to receive any sort of update. On June 17th when my GM Financial account was finally paid off, I asked the manager what they could do in order to reconcile my negative customer service experience to which he responded with essentially "nothing" -- I had said multiple times throughout this entire situation that all I was asking for was to be updated on a reasonable cadence and they repeatedly neglected to do so.Once the issue was finally resolved (I'm fully convinced that it would still be ongoing right now if it weren't for me calling them almost every day to move it forward), it was abundantly clear that they had no empathy towards the situation and that they had no desire to reconcile their customer relationship which spoke volumes about how they do business.I hope sharing my experience might prevent someone else from going through the same thing but if nothing else, I hope the team sees this and does better by the next customer.

I live in Mississippi and purchased used Mazda6 on 5/3/2023 and paid in full. Now 6 weeks later I don't have the title and cannot drive the car. I have left many messages and asked to speak to general manager but I cannot get a response or resolution. I have a car I saved up for over 7 years so I would not have a car payment buy I cannot legally drive in my home state. I cannot believe they charge $699 "DOC" prep fee but refuse to do the work. When I purchased car I asked about registering and getting Mississippi title and credit manager said I would get paperwork needed soon but if the 20 day temp tag expired they would send me another which they did not, however I found out from my tax collectors office that the temporary tag they gave me (that expired 3 weeks ago) is not valid in Mississippi and I am required to register car in 9 days in Mississippi when purchased out of state and its the dealers responsibility to send Alabama title, bill of sale and mileage disclosure via express delivery with tracking to the local tax collectors office and this process was not disclosed to me by the dealer I had to do my own due diligence. I am lucky I was not pulled over since I would have received several tickets. I filed a complaint with the AL attorney general but no telling how long or if that will help. Hopefully I will not need to hire an attorney as I am a disabled veteran on a fixed income.

The GM of this store is my previous boss. I have never worked for a more honest, fair & supportive individual. When Daniel moved to Mazda I took my leave shortly after. He operates with integrity & I could not see myself staying in the business unless it was with him as my boss.

Annette was absolutely AMAZING. She was so kind and helped me find the car of my dreams and basically held my hand the entire buying process as being that I was a young buyer. 10/10 would 100% recommend and will 100% shop here again next time I need a new vehicle.
