I am beyond disappointed with my experience at Hertz. Yesterday, after making a reservation in advance, I arrived at the counter only to be told there were no cars available. No apology, no effort to make it right—just a dismissive attitude.
I went back today, reserved a midsize SUV, and was handed what can only be described as a tiny go-kart of a car. When I questioned it, the representative was extremely rude and told me, “Take it or leave it—it’s all you get.” On top of that, I was charged $12 more per day than the price I had already paid online.
This level of unprofessionalism and bait-and-switch pricing is completely unacceptable. I will never rent from Hertz again.

They don’t have a phone that you can call if you need anything. Calling the central line will get you wrong information. Customer service at the location is rude. I will not be using Hertz again.

The location and store itself is 1 star. The most unique and interesting Hertz I’ve ever seen. Rashad gets 5 stars, he was the only who helping and running the whole show. We witnessed him getting yelled at by other customers and he handled it all very professionally. He assisted us and even took our car to get cleaned. His help was very much appreciated. The experience overall took almost 2 hours to get the car. There were several employees not doing anything there. Rashad was the only one holding everything together.

I prefer to give 0 . The pickup time is 8am , they give me car at 8:52am to cause me miss the flight. They don't care customers. Don't go this place to rent a car. they had time to talk to her friends over phone but they didn't have time to make a car available for me. A lady just sit on front desk to play with her phone and ignored me for half hour there.

Y is money still debit off my credit card .I brought your suv be back and top shape vacuum, tank fill up and rinse rhe car off from pollen .my deposit was return but fees still coming off my card

No car even if you have a reservation and came early. It takes them half an hour with each customer. Come on. Why are you so slow?

These guys rule. I was stranded in Tuscaloosa and needed to rent a car ASAP. They went above and beyond to get me a car to rent for the day. Super friendly, couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Thanks again!!

HORRIBLE!!! If I could give negative stars, I would. I rent vehicles all the time for my job. I just received a call saying there was a chip in the window from a rental I had OVER A MONTH AGO and now they want to charge me $384. LIES!!! I will NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN!!!

Terrible service and experience. I was told the car was dirty and I need to clean it because of dog hair. I have no pets and said so, but was told to clean the car to avoid a $400 charge. They showed no sympathy for my situation. Afterwards, I checked the receipt and they charged me $43 dollars for gas, but I filled it up right before turning it in. Also, you need the gas receipt to contest this type of charge. Absolutely dreadful place with lazy, indifferent employees. Avoid at all costs.

There needs to be a negative star rating option here. This Hertz is the sketchiest place I have ever walked into. Customer service is non existent and the whole set up is a joke. I've rented from many Hertz locations before and never had any issues. I am not even 100% this place is legit. They literally took the money I paid for the rental reservation a month in advance and then on the day of pickup did not have what I reserved unless I paid an additional $500. And even then did not have the vehicle I needed/reserved/ and confirmed the day before. Then on top of that they said I had to cancel the reservation because they could not do it from there. They could not call Hertz directly to assist me in cancellation. I tried calling but could never reach a human then tried canceling online and it said to call. What a joke. I will never use this company again. Beware if you do.

Arrived at 10. Out by 10:40. Had the vehicle and was good to go. Everyone was friendly. I even got some help with an RV park.
I will use this Hertz location again. They are great.

Poor communication and no vehicle. We had reserved a vehicle for 8:30am online and wasn’t told anything about being on some sort of list. When we got there we was told they were booked up with no vehicles available and we would have to wait and HOPE for someone to cancel to get a vehicle. We let them know we was leaving out right after getting a vehicle. Well obviously there was “nothing they can do” we canceled that reservation and went to ENTERPRISE. If you want a better experience I suggest enterprise or another rental company. Never going to hertz again!

Debit Card holders -
- make a reservation a couple of days before, make sure the name on the reservation (Driver's License) matches the name on the debit card.
- have 500$ for deposit on your debit
- have a good credit score
- arrive 15 minutes before in case there is a line or they need to clean the car
- clarifications better to be made using general costumer service number.

I've rented/returned two cars with the new Skyland location. So far it's been great. No frills but the staff is nice and they're prepared!
