We visit the Tuscaloosa, Alabama Home Depot multiple times a week, often within two hours of the store opening. Our expectations aren't high or unreasonable. Today, after negotiating closed or stock-cluttered isles, I walked up to the Contractor check-out, and the cashier seemed to be talking to herself. I said hello, but the cashier didn't respond, she just started scanning the items. As she ignored any interaction with me, it became evident from her side of the conversation that she was on a personal call via Bluetooth. When she finished scanning she pressed a few buttons on the register, remained staring at the screen, and talked to whoever was on the phone. I paid with no interaction from the cashier. As she handed me the receipt, I said thank you, and didn''t receive any response. In all, the cashier never made eye contact, never said a word to me, and did not respond even as a courtesy when I thanked her. However, she was able to carry-on a conversation with her personal phone call. The only reason I use Home Depot is that the nearby Tuscaloosa Lowe's is horribly disorganized. There is a Lowe's in North Port that is well-organized and has better customer service. Although it's 10 minutes further away, we are seriously considering making that our primary store or using Amazon Prime where there isn't an expectation of in-person contact.

They get one star because zero stars wasn't an option. Customer service is terrible and the rest of the employees don't fall short of them. Best part of this store is there are two different Lowe's nearby.

This is in reference to Home Depot on line service which I ordered from the Tuscaloosa location. I ordered a Husky utility cart and I also paid for it to be delivered inside my home. I saw a 3rd party truck pull up I left the door partially opened so they could come in. Next thing I knew they took off and left this 300lb tool chest box right outside my garage. I'm parked inside the garage and that box is right behind my car! I can't move it or get my car around it... I was never asked where would you like this placed, no kind of customer service! So I called Home Depot on line order service a young lady called the 3rd party delivery service to locate the drivers.. I have not heard from them .... This is poor service I know a lot of retail stores have started using these 3rd party services but I've had back to back bad experiences...I'm basically trapped inside my home! There is no one around me to help you exactly I need a dolly and a few good men to get this moved! Be careful out there about using these 3rd party services .... Still have not heard back!! I'm furious!!

I recently had a wonderful experience at this location. I had to make a work related dryer purchase and was in and out with a delivery date in 20 minutes. The employee who assisted me was fantastic and made the entire process a breeze. I come here fairly often anyway and have never had an issues.

My wife and I were looking for something to replace the old plastic edging around our flower beds and some fresh soil to work into the beds. No problems there. We got ready to check out, and Home Depot decided to do their best Walmart impression...9 or 10 customers waiting to check out, only 1 register open.? After about 12-15 minutes in line, the second register finally opened.

Shout out to Tracy who was working in the hardware dept today and went above and beyond to help me secure just the right bracket I needed. He tried two different areas, isles apart, to help me get exactly what I needed. So nice to have employees who will help you regardless if it's in their department or not! Thanks Tracy - I really appreciated your help! Home Depot needs to recognize this young man as valued employee.

I was treated rudely by the employees at the Tuscaloosa store. I am a Home Depot credit card holder but I doubt I will ever enter the store again.

Had the worst experience ever from trying to humiliate and spoke degrading to for single me out in front of customers. When taken to higher officer of the Tuscaloosa store they said they should of waited till I left the store. To add more harm after that was to give me a petty gester. Be careful if they dont care for you as customers it okay for them to talk about you in front of other after you leave. This is after being a customer for over 20 years as a general contractor

Extremely rude and unprofessional measurement guy with a lot of side commentary about our furniture. And when my dad asked a question he got super snippy with him. We went with Wheat's Carpet although more expensive much more professional.

Great place to shop for the do it yourself enthusiast. If you know exactly what you need for a job and where to find it, you can usually purchase it without much difficulty. But, if you need assistance with something, you might be there a while.

Nothing open but self checkout??!! Have to get assistance for military discount. Have a problem with one of my items not scanning correctly. Employee working self checkout covered up. Self check out is so impersonal! I won’t ever do self check out again!! Left buggy with $200 worth of electrical sitting at check out. Sad.
