“Wow. Alabama has more taxes on alcohol than Florida. I'm from Florida, a 30 dollar bottle of Tito's is 40 in Alabama. But...I can't complain, liquor stores are regulated by ABC, Alabama beverage control. So. Ive done a bit of research, and the tax generated by alchohol sales is used mostly for infrastructure improvements. I believe that from experience, the roads, in my opinion, are in better repair than Florida. If you're driving thru Alabama, buy your booze in Florida. But if you are staying in bama awhile and the extra 5 or 10 dollars for a 1.75 liter bottle of vodka is something you can afford, spend it freely knowing it's doing something good, like fixing the roads. That's just my opinion. Taxes are a neccessary evil in my opinion, which isn't worth much, lol. But Alabama seems to be putting that money to good use. Long story short, if you want to save money, buy before you get to bama. But I don't worry about it so much, I see the better roads and whatnot. The extra money is well spent, IMO...?”
