In my multiple interactions with the U.S. Post Office in Sheffield, Alabama, the service has been uniformly excellent. The staff have been courteous, efficient, and helpful.

I have an excellent carrier normally (Kelly Boyd) I would rate a 10, but when she’s off the carriers refuse to deliver my mail because my black Labrador Retriever adores Kelly and everyone who comes on my isolated little street. Because he is so friendly he runs to greet the substitute carrier. I have frequently not received packages and important mail from other mail carriers because of “animal interference”! I suggest the USPS consider NOT HIRING people with dog phobias that prevent them from doing their jobs. I have gotten no change by talking with employees at Sheffield or the carriers individually when I make suggestions on how to help them deal with their phobias (I’m a Clinical Psychologist).

Every week I get someone else's mail. Today I found out that about 70 pieces of mail that had my address on it were returned to sender. I never received the mail.

I've been to this post office 4 times. If they haven't closed hours before posted hours of operation then they're open with no one in the lobby to sell stamps or scan in received packages.
