I am now seeing Dr. Horton as my primary physician and I absolutely love him as my primary Dr.! He thoroughly goes over everything, has genuine concern, and the most personable doctor I have ever been to! Great staff as well!

Dr Horton and Joe have been my go-to physicians for almost 2 years. After going from office to office, it’s a breath of fresh air to have these guys genuinely concerned and care about the care that provided to their patients. Would always highly recommend either of them!

Callie the lady over billing is about as RUDE and HATEFUL as they come. When you’ve spent half of your day trying figure out why you went from a balance of 50 dollars to 540 in less than 2 months is beyond frustrating. And refusing to see a patient because of this balance when they are on a certain drug is beyond ridiculous. I called the office manager to report her but have not received a call back yet. Will never recommend any of the medical associates office ever again!!

Ok so I Love Medical Associates of the Shoals in Sheffield but yesterday I had to go to urgent care in Florence and all I can say is WOW!! From the time I walked in the door until I walked out.. I had several different tests run on me and every one was so nice and caring and I felt terrible but they took good care of me… And especially the young man that did my echocardiogram went ABOVE AND BEYOND to keep comfortable because I was Very Uncomfortable Thank You So Much to the Cloverdale Road office it’s a great place to go ♥️♥️

Not sure why we are deleting reviews. Would not recommend. When our family was so sick with covid nothing was done even when they were getting worse, but if you knew a dr there they would treat that person. Our family member spiraled and died with no treatment

I love this place. Their staff is super nice and helpful. I have never had what I feel like to be a long wait time. I've never had the lab people have any issues or dig for a vein. Dr. Richards, Dr. Dickson, and Dr. King I have personally seen since being there. All 3 of them have been top notch. Great personalities, upbeat, genuinely caring, took their time with me and never ever made me feel rushed. I truly felt like I could communicate with these doctors about anything no matter how small. They found issues I had underlying that had previously gone completely unnoticed before and I can say they have changed my life as well as my health for the better. Took me a long time to find doctors this good and I will not be leaving this practice.

Just saw Dr. Horton today for the first time. His nurse, Whitney spent at least 30 minutes with me and was so thorough! Dr. Horton was the same! Very attentive, thorough and seemed genuinely interested in what I had to say. So refreshing to see people who truly care about their patients. I was very apprehensive about seeing a new Dr, as Dr. McLendon has been my PCP for years but I am very happy and no longer concerned at all . So happy Dr Horton is here in the Shoals!

I absolutely love my Doctor. But the business management side of that place is pitiful. I’m sorry. I hate to say that. Also it is near impossible to get to see my Doctor any more. It has to be scheduled out 3 months or more. Again love my Doctor but don’t love going there to see her!

First impression when you walk in the door is that Janet truly hates her job and considers anyone that walks in the door an inconvenience. Very loud (yelling private patient information across the room to a nurse)... Can we say HIPPA? Triage nurse has the personality of a cactus. The doctor was knowledgeable but I wish he had introduced himself so I could give him recognition. Lastly, Tori was so kind. Her smile showed that she loves what she does. She is caring and gentle when drawing labs. She herself deserves 10 stars!

Called to find out if the dr I researched and chose, was told yes he was taking new patients. Told the person I must have early afternoon appointments. I get the pack of forms to fill out and return about medical history. The cover sheet has a different dr circled! I call to find out what the f^@! Is going on here, why has an arbitrary decision been made w/o my ok. Then the day before my appt with another dr I get a msg my appt has been rescheduled to another day at 8 am! This outfit may have great doctors, but their staff is worthless! I will go to another office come Jan 1, maybe sooner.

Two years ago I was under her care… she was my primary doctor but I developed a consistent fever for several days & she blew me off & wouldn’t return my calls. I got sudden onset flu symptoms & a rash. Went to the ER & they did blood cultures. They called & told me to follow up with her. I had a blood infection. Thanks to “dr” Bowen I was too far gone. She told me to go to Vanderbilt. I had Rocky Mountain spotted fever & endocarditis. If she would have listened to me I wouldn’t have ended up having to have open have open heart surgery, two picc lines & I even died & my husband brought me back with cpr. I do not recommend this doctor. When I tried to call & switch from her, this facility wouldn’t let me !!!! After everything I went through.
