This is a very length review, but i am taking the time to write this to urge with great caution anyone else against seeing this doctor or his practice as I do not wish anyone else to go through what my mother or my family have been through as a result of Dr. Long's care. My mom went to Dr. Long in November 2022 with symptoms similar to a stopped up ear/ear infection. He put her on antibiotics/antihistamines a countless number of times suggesting this would be the solution. By March 2023, my mom had received no relief and was basically completely deaf in her right ear. Dr. Long then suggested perhaps putting in a tube would remove the fluid and help her get back to normal. He placed a tube early March 2023. Between March 2023 - October 2023 my mom continued to have clear fluid drain from her ears and could NOT hear. We all urged her to seek a second opinion. On the FIRST visit, the second opinion physician ordered a CT scan which revealed she was leaking SPINAL FLUID from her ear and needed to be referred to UAB immediately for an ENT/Neurosurgery for repair. Dr. Long never once ordered a CT scan and as a result, allowed my mom's serious neuro condition to persist which could have ended in a fatal result. He is not up to date on his medical knowledge and missed major red flags indicating she had a much more serious issue. This has caused our family much trauma and anxiety, i would not trust your care to this office.

If I could give less than one star I would I came to drs longs office after many months of issues with my ears . My ears were literally bleeding the morning of my appointment . I was in the office for over an hour and a half waiting I spent maybe 15 minutes with a nurse who looked in my ears and quickly left . 30 minutes or so later an old man comes in and tells me good news my ears look great …I should come back in 3 weeks if the issue continues. … my ears were literally bleeding from hat morning . I seen the old dr for all of maybe 2 minutes just long enough to say that my ears were great and to charge me $300 . This whole office is a scam don’t waste your money

Dont waste your time money or effort with this office . I waited over a month to get in to see dr long .The morning of my appointment my ears were bleeding which is why I was seeing him. I spent over an hour and a half waiting in his office to see a nurse for 15 minutes. She looked in my ears and left 25 minutes or so passed The dr came in for all of maybe 10 minutes to say my ears looked great to come back in 3 weeks .. my ears are literally bleeding. Save your money find a dr that will actually look in your ears

There was a cancellation so they were able to get me in super fast. Dr. Long is a great listener and very thorough. He explained the plan for care very clearly. Highly recommend.

Highly recommend Dr. Long. He is courteous and very professional in office and also at Surgery Center. Answered all questions about surgery procedures and post op questions.

Don't be in a hurry. Arrived an hour early and was still seen over an hour late. Office staff is nice but incompetent. If you can wait for the cheaper ENT across town, do it.

Our first time going today because my son has to have his tonsils out and has sleep apnea so we decided to go to Dr.Long. He was very professional and nice. He talked an cut up with my son that was awesome. He also answered all my questions that I asked. Also we didn't have to wait long and the staff was lovely.
