If you need customer service DO NOT go to this branch. They'll have you waiting for nothing and unfortunately customers are not the first priority here.

This location is not your typical bank branch which makes it a bit confusing when you walk in. There is kind of a lobby area with a table where you fill out your deposit/withdrawal forms, but no tellers right there. There are offices off to the right and the "tellers" are there and they come out and greet you and then they bring you into their office and that's where you do your transaction. The nice part about that is that you have privacy and everyone doesn't hear everything you say, but they have to go to the other side of the bank to get money and it seems to take a bit longer than a normal branch. Also it can be confusing when a lot of people are waiting and there isn't a "real" line and it's not clear who is next. My recommendation would be only come here if you're not in a rush.

This is a different type of branch than the other ones. They don't have the standard tellers behind the counter. There are no slips to fill out at the lobby, you just have to sit there and wait for one of the account reps to come out and get you. You will go in to their office, and get the transaction done there. Even if it something simple as withdrawing $100. This is not the branch you want to go to if you are in a hurry. I am definitely avoiding this branch next time.

I apologize that this is long, but I am still extremely distraught about my experience at this location. Last Friday, February 13, I decided to go to the bank and deposit a large amount of cash, and several checks. I walked into the Falls Church, VA location around 4:15, and was quickly greeted by the employees. Right away she asked me how she could help me, but as she asked I noticed that there was only one teller desk. Any other PNC offices there are always at least 3 tellers desk that I can trust to count my money. However, at this location it was a lot different. I told her that I needed to deposit some money, and instead of her directing me to the teller she directed me to a the ATM. There was someone else already at the machine, so she said that we could wait, so I continued to tell her, I have a lot of cash so this machine will take forever. She responded with ,"Actually this machine accepts up to 50 bills at one time, and this allows us to formulate a better relationship with our customers." I am confused how a machine helps build relationships, if it does anything it restricts a relationship from forming. Anyways, the man in front of me was taking a while, so she suggested that we go to the ATM that was located OUTSIDE. Excuse me, but when I come to a bank, I expect someone to count my money and feel safe when doing it. Why would a small, twenty year old girl want to deposit almost two-grand of cash into an ATM in 20degree weather, while anyone could walk by and mug her? I immediately told her no, that I would feel much more comfortable talking with the teller, and she finally directed me that way. She was extremely rude about it too, which confused me because if she would have listened to me to begin with we wouldn't have had this fiasco. All in all, I do not understand why she was trying to get me to use an ATM outside, or and ATM in general. IS this what PNC, and banking is turning into?

PNC Banks have been great most places I've been to, but I like this branch especially because the people are super friendly. They have an information desk to assist you BEFORE you get in line...to make sure you aren't wasting your time....even though I've never seen a line...perhaps a testament that it works? What makes going to the bank enjoyable besides the cute tellers, is the free Keurigs Coffee in single-cup servings. Definitely adds a nice touch. I don't think banks get better than this.
