They lie and advertise rooms they do not have. I drove out of my way to stay here because I was tired and sore and wanted a jacuzzi to soak in. The app and website advertise a suite with jacuzzi in the room, so I booked that. The check-in paper confirmed the suite. Got to room and they have replaced jacuzzi in the room with exercise equipment! Went to desk and was told they had remodeled awhile ago. He couldn’t cancel the reservation or change to another room (which I requested as this room was $100 more than the other room we had looked at), but assured me his manager would discount room and make it right in the morning. Instead, the desk clerk was rude in the morning and the manager wasn’t there. The manager never returned my call or email after three weeks of me trying. I reached out to Hilton (weeks ago and again yesterday). They offered 15,000 points, which is better than nothing I guess, but in no way changes that I feel cheated and lied to. What I really want is an apology from the hotel manager and for them to update the app and website to be accurate. I’m disgusted that they still advertise having a jacuzzi in the room. I don’t want to patronize a company that’s ok with this kind of bait and switch. I’m aggravated that I drove out of my way and paid more for something that in no way met my needs. I’m disappointed that management doesn’t care and thinks this is a fine way to treat and take advantage of customers.
Adding pictures of what’s in the room vs what’s advertised.

The staff has been very friendly and helpful and the accommodations are all in good working order. No funny smells or sounds, on site washing facility was well maintained - all good things. However having stayed in Hampton Inns across the country, I will say that the breakfast is significantly subpar in comparison-- I will also say that this is likely due to the location not a reflection of hotel management. Selma is not a big city, it is by all accounts a very rural town, and may even qualify as a food desert so it is possible that the limited availability of quality produce and food in the area has greatly limited the ability of this location to provide a decent breakfast offering to their guests. They are doing the best with what they have. But for Example- fruits available today were a dozen bananas and 3 pears. Where as most locations have apples,& oranges filled up. Oatmeal "raisen blend" was just raisens. Just not a whole lot of variety or quality selections. Anyhow point being-- the breakfast value may not be what you are expecting from a HamptonInn at this location.

Was in town for a family reunion. Booked 2 rooms and it has been a disaster from booking until today after speaking with the 800 number management left for a commenter below. Used friends and family discount and got screwed. Multiple family members stayed there with the same last name as me. We all had similar disgust with being told there was no toilet paper and having to buy our own at the dollar store next door. Got stuck in elevator after being told it was repaired, and their doors we propped open throught the day and night. Bugs in bed when we checked in, though not bed bugs, we don't think. Called to complain for 25 minutes after being trapped in elevator and told they would handle. Called to follow-up a few days later to be updated on status only to be told no case on file. Started the complaint again and was given a case number yhis time. Called a week later, today, and the phone agent advised that the manager already spoke with my husband and gave him a refund, and since I booked with discount nothing else could be done. After trying to interrupt, as I have no husband, she insisted I let her finish her sentence, despite the rest of statement being null and void as I am the payer of the two rooms we booked and have no husband to talk to. Phone agent kept putting me on mute, not hold, only to tell me I have to talk to the hotel manager, which of whom has been an elusive figure the whole time. I'm still waiting on "Chad" to call me about my booking from back in April. Phone agent says I have to call Chad and talk to him since we are Friends and Family members and already had a discount and there is nothing anyone else can do for us. Only one of our two rooms had the friends and family discount.
No one there cares that we had to buy our own toilet paper or that our tub and toilets were backed up, nor that we got stuck in the elevator, nor the fact that the workers were chilling on their phones on the couches when came and went each day, nor the fact that we had to beg for towels and room cleaning, I guess. Best part was the hardworking woman over the breakfast.
Everyone staying there deserved their money back for that weekend of horror, not just my imaginary husband that I've never met. Shame on you Chad. Shame on you Hilton.

Stay at room 100 for 5 minutes then had to move to 220 due to stinky smell. Both room bed sheets so sticky. Don’t recommend to stay in this hotel.

I will never recommend this hotel and will be calling corporate as well as my family. First off, they ran out of TP day 1 and we had to go to dollar general our first night as well as all of our family. There was so much moisture in the hotel and mold it was disgusting. The pool was out of service bc the filter wasn’t working. No elevator for the whole weekend and 2 people got stuck to have the fire department come out. I asked for a manager and they said they do not have one. We asked for towels they said sorry it’s in the basement maybe the next day we can get some. No cleaning service or even TP in the guest bathrooms. I thought staying at a Hilton would be okay but never again and please do not stay here.

Totally unacceptable! The tub was rusted out, the water would not drain, the toilet backed up, we got stuck in the elevator and they didn’t have any toilet paper! Gave me a hard time when I asked them to change my sheets and it the night staff was condescending! Don’t stay here!!!

The rooms were nice. The front desk clerk in the morning was very nice and did the best she could to help us.
Our cell phones had no service in the room. There was no landline in the room so if we had an emergency, we’d be dead! The Wi-Fi was horrible. We had a picture on the television but no sound at all the whole night. We couldn’t switch rooms until the next day because there weren’t any available. The elevator didn’t work. We were told by an employee that the elevator not working, and the no sound from the television is an ongoing issue that management knows about. We were never offered anything to compensate for the inconvenience. When they switched our room they gave us a bigger room with a sofa bed that we didn’t need. Awful customer service.

It was a pleasure to stay at this Hampton Inn on Highland Avenue in Selma, Alabama. This location has been remodeled and my guest suite on the 3rd Floor exceeded my expectations. The front desk representative was very professional and friendly. I was attending my 35th High School Reunion and enjoyed my stay.
Rooms: Very clean and comfortable bed
The towels were plush and there was plenty of room to stretch out and relax ?
Safety: Plenty of parking and the location is well lit.

Super friendly staff! Very clean, cozy rooms. My kids enjoyed the indoor pool and the breakfast was great.
