“This was a quick stop while traveling and I don't know who the Captain is but well done Cap! There's a lot of gas and convenience stores across the country and you're never sure what you're gonna get. I mean there's the King of these places like Buc-ee's and I remember one near the Mexico border that had NO door on the toilet and it looked like it hadn't been cleaned since the Alamo. This place was super clean, had lots of convenience items with a friendly staff AND their chicken looked and smelled so good I had to try it. Wow, gas station dining is like Russian roulette and not for the faint of heart but the chicken here is legit! If I lived near this place I'd no doubt be a regular, certainly for the fried chicken, but because these folks know how to run a traveler's oasis where it's well lit, clean, friendly and got some kickin' chicken.Bottom line: Well stocked and friendly staff, spotlessly clean and did I mention that have really good chicken :-)”

907 Broad St, Selma“Mid City Mart has restored the store after the storm in Selma,AL in February. I must say. It was a fabolous restoring of the store. Mid City Mart has reasonable prices. All of the way around! From the cigarettes to the acoholic beverages. From the incenses to the gas prices. The store also has a different varitiy of wine. From Taylor Port to Mad Dog 20/20 to Wild Irish Rose. Also too. The store has added new features. Like now the store sells mix drinks. From small to medium to large. With different flavors. Mid City Mart is in the central of Selma. I pray???? my review helps the store gain my loyal customs as myself!”

When I got there there was a tour bus load of kids and they got me in and out quick despite it being chaotic. Well lit at night but I'm still not sure I'd stay the night being a solo woman driver hauling reefer trailer.”

1601 AL-14, Selma“I go there all the time. I guess because I live down the road from there. I like the people there but I wish they offered more drinks and snacks. I also think thei prices are ridiculous. My cig I smoke are $6 and something everywhere I go but the Link they are just about right at $9. And lots of other things I have purchased have really been too much.”
“Chris Rudolph always very helpful! He goes exceedingly with his job. Yes I truly understand he’s the manager and supposed to. But I have seen a lot of manager that doesn’t do half. He’s always helping in the pharmacy, on the floor and at the register. Thank you so much for all you have done for us!”
“This one was like a CVS is supposed to be. My prescription was transferred in from another pharmacy and filled very quickly by CVS. After the prescription was filled, they asked me if they could contact my doctor to have the prescription filled again. Excellent friendly service”

“Go ahead and ignore most of the negative posts. Most of these are as a result of the owner being involved in an unfortunate incident in 2023. My review doesn't excuse that, but I'd like to set the record straight.
Vasser's is your quintessential Southern Gas Station eatery. The breakfast is awesome, bacon is always crispy and the grits can't be beat. The best item is the Bacon, Egg and Cheese sandwich, two pieces of toasted white bread slathered with mayo with a healthy portion of eggs, couple slices of bacon and American cheese. Hard to beat! Lunch plates are great too, Fried Chicken, Chicken Tenders, Pork Chops, Beef Tips and Rice, Fried Catfish. The menu changes daily, but again for what you get, it's hard to beat.
People make mistakes, especially young folks, I imagine a good number of the people leaving fake reviews probably have made mistakes in their past, the biggest difference probably will be that those mistakes weren't caught on video and didn't go viral. Ultimately you can decide for yourself. But if you're ever in Selma, drop in to Vasser's and get something good to eat.”
“Best place to try some Southern local goods such as Priester’s Pecan (Pecan fiddlesticks and Pecan logs) and deliciously fine coffee (it was a great surprise the blend Southern Pecan). Fridge and barbecue have many tasty food too! It’s a place to return on my next time in Selma!”
