Would really give 5 stars except store seems like they always close 10 minutes early. Change the hours open that are posted on the door if your not gonna be open till that time.

Self checkout was turned off!! Manger called for cashier, waited and no one came to the front to check me out so I left and went to another DG.

Wow awful customer service dollar General Salem, AL locationCashier had only cash only option register open and self check out. I asked why did he not open other register that used both card and cash. He said cause my register is here. I told him I don't use self check out it is not providing customer service so he said I could leave. I put my things on counter and told him with out customers you don't have a job. He told me to leave again. I did it's the principle I have provided customer service at my job I believe these self check outs replace jobs and taking away customer service. This new gen might like it but 40 generation like me still enjoys customer service.

Most of the time it is wonderful, but often hear a worker complaining to customers about her life outside of work. It isn't the relatable type thing, but more so something that leaves me without a response. Very uncomfortable interaction.
