The Styx River Shooting Center is a great and well-run range with a nice facility. The staff and owner are consistently described as very friendly, helpful, and incredibly nice. It is a great place for beginners and inexperienced shooters, with range safety officers keeping an eye on everything. The range coaches maintain safety without being intrusive or rude. Experienced shooters should note a strict enforcement of a two-second rule between shots, which is not posted but is enforced under the "No Rapid Fire" policy. The trap and skeet setup is better than most other places in the area. Many customers, including first-time visitors, state they will definitely return.
Came here while traveling and it is a great range with great people. If you can come here on Tuesday when TJ is here as range officer, he knows his stuff inside out, forward and backwards.
