I contacted Rita attempting to reach a listing agent for a house I wanted to see online. Rita was very nice and was able to get me an appointment for the following day. I was running late so I texted her and she said her husband, Ron, was going to meet me. When I arrived Ron angrily told my husband he has a 15 minute rule and he was about to leave. Ron made comments throughout the walk-through that were off-putting and even went as far as bad mouthing the listing agent (telling us he fired her for being shady.) The house wasn't as it was purported in the pictures online. After walk through, I made conversation with Ron by telling him when I GPSed the house, it took me to the wrong location, but there were 2 of the same address on Google maps. Ron argued with me and vehemently held the position that there are not 2 of the same address, even though I had been to both addresses just that morning. Rita was nice, but Ron is a good reason to find a different real estate company.

We were looking for just the right house. Ms. Rita was very patient and kind with us and called one one day,after several close calls and said “I found your dream home!” She was right. We looked at it the next day and put an offer and we now have our dream home. She was absolutely wonderful! Both professional and personal. Hard to find these qualities in people today. Would unconditionally recommend her.

Have interacted with other agents in the area and no other office helped us the way Ron and Rita did at Wedowee Lake and Lands. We finally found our dream place and actually made it happen because of them. And the support didn’t end at a signed contract. They stood by us through all the hoops we hand to get through to get it closed. Thank you guys!

IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ: What makes a good real estate agent to you? Is it someone who is patient, listens to a customer's questions and concerns, provides intelligent answers, has good manners, and basically cares? Most importantly, do you want an agent who you can TRUST?So, can you TRUST this agency?I called this agency to ask a few questions about areas in Alabama, to see if they knew of any area that offered what I am looking for, and instead of being given a polite answer, I was told that she could not help me or recommend any areas to me. (Keep in mind that I was not asking her to rate areas. I was just asking her if she could recommend any areas that have what I am looking for.)When I calmly and politely asked why she was refusing to help, she did not answer but instead hung up on me. I called back and explained what happened to someone, who told me to hold. The original lady came back and said that she could not help me and when I politely asked if she could explain why, she hung up again.At no point was I rude to her in any way, and I was not taking up her time with excessive questions. We were on the phone for less than a few minutes. Yet she continued to reply with extremely poor manners and when I calmly and politely asked why, she would not provide an explanation for her abrupt refusal to provide assistance.So I ask, is this how you would like to be treated by a realtor? Would you like to politely ask a few questions and be hung up on multiple times? Would you like to be polite on your end but be treated with immature, rude, uncaring responses? Do you want toxic, immature people in your life? If so, have you found the realtor for you? If you want someone patient and caring though, with maturity, class and a great attitude, look somewhere else.So the question is, what type of realtor can you trust, and could you trust an agency that behaves with such immaturity? If bad manners are a sign of immaturity, and immaturity is a sign of poor character, and poor character makes an untrustworthy person, is this the agency you would trust?There is simply no excuse for such poor behavior towards a customer, and anyone who tries to find an excuse or ignore such behavior is not maturely willing to face facts or own the poor behavior. They are only being further immature by ignoring it and not owning it. The only appropriate response for this is a mature owning of the behavior and an apology from the agent and a character building reprimanding of the employee who clearly needs to grow as an agent and a person. Watch to see how they respond to this post (or don't) and you will know for sure their character as an agency.And most importantly, you will know... are they an agency you can TRUST?

If you're looking for a realtor/realty company who goes above and beyond before and after the sale - look no further than Wedowee Lake & Lands Realty! The entire staff could not do enough to make our land purchase more pleasant. They also offer to help us as we move forward to find someone to mow the land as well as in the future to find contractors to build on the land. We felt at home the minute we walked in the office and can't wait to be part of their community!

I worked with Dakota Henderson to sell a large tract of land I had through an LLC partnership. Dakota was professional, responsive and eager to work hard to get the land sold. She sold the land within a week! I would highly recommend Dakota and will certainly use her on future real estate opportunities.

Ron and Rita really know the Lake Wedowee and Randolph County real estate market well. I've bought and sold several properties with them over the years, and have been very happy with them. Ron went and continues to go above and beyond to help. I can’t stress how amazing he was in helping us out. Without Ron’s help we would still be looking for our dream property. We are from out of state and had difficulty finding a Realitor that was willing to help until we got in contact with Ron. He worked hard to accommodate out wants and needs. We drove out from Atlanta to view a property we saw online. Ron was available when we called, actually met us at the property within 10 minutes of us calling. We viewed the property, made an offer and signed the contract within about an hour of our initial phone call. Each time we reached out to Ron, he was available. Everyone from the land surveyor, secretary, law office, and his wife, were friendly and helpful. If you're looking for a property in the Wedowee area, give him a call!
