“I've been coming to this gym for almost 3 years now. It is always kept clean; the management is very friendly (I don't know how they remember everyone's names); when a dude creeped on my sister management handled that very quickly; can't beat the value.I don't think there's a better gym in the River Region. You have all of the equipment that you need. Large amount of dumbbells, cardio machines, variety of cables and fixed machines. Two good squat racks, three bench press, and two deadlift spaces.”

“She is so knowledgeable and helpful. She genuinely cares about you and wants you to succeed, and she teaches you the proper forms so that you dont hurt yourself.. Her facility is spacious and clean and has everything needed to improve your body. You definitely need to talk to her and work out with her. You won't regret it.”
“The coaches are great and so motivating. I have a great time with every workout out, and they push me to do my very best. The facilities are clean and well kept too.”
“I am cleared to do water exercise. This Y has several forms offered. There are 2 coaches presenting programs Monday through Friday. . The pool is wonderfully warm for therapeutic exercise. Prattville has another Y also. It offers more programs for other purposes. Both are available to all Prattville YMCA members. I love the variety of programs. I feel there is something here for everyone. The building is well maintained and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable.”
“I went 11/2/25 and Dana was working the front desk and she was amazing extremely helpful and kind. I always have a great experience with this gym and staff is my favorite location to workout... but on this particular hard day Dana went above and beyond!”
“I first came here to practice striking for MMA as I had ambitions to be a kickboxer overseas. After several months, I finally tried the Jiu Jitsu class and found an interest in grappling. Coach Aaron or A A Ron as legally declared, helped me learn short cuts in grappling and when we sparred, he would never bully me but instead cultivated confidence in me. Although I never continued grappling, it helped me improve my striking. After one year, I took my ambitions overseas to Thailand where I found success and was training out of Fairtex gym in Pattaya. Though my fight camp was cut short due to Covid, my Thai coaches were impressed in my boxing upon arrival and further improved upon it. In Thailand, we trained between 2-4 hours a day with Sunday off and I had no issues keeping up and improving my conditioning because of the conditioning coach Aaron made me go through. I have Prattville MMA and partially Gorilla in Montgomery to thank for reigniting my martial arts journey and inspiring to train with the best boxers of Thailand at the same gym that trained Yodsanklai.”

“1. Plenty of equipment. Generally nice/clean place. 24/7 facilities are convenient. Employees and members are polite. There is a good mix of different kinds of people so it doesn’t feel weird.
2. Being able to sign up online and not have to deal with a real person to get in is convenient, but then they caught me one day and had to take my picture which is unpleasant. It is pretty standard as far as gym procedures go (maybe for security and to prevent people from allowing their friends in without paying or something like that). They have a right to do it and I respect their right as a business, but I just don’t like it as a customer.
3. I see people scanning the app QR code at the door to get in and then go up to the desk and hit the QR scanners at the front desk too. Not sure if that is necessary, but if you scan once to get in the door, that should be the only scan necessary. I’m a technician/programmer. I understand how this stuff works. Basically it costs more money to make it seamless and it’s not a big deal in the first place.
4. Account/Code doesn’t work for hydromassage. 2 employees called me to upsell their personal trainer program (I respect the hustle, but it sounds like they don’t have a well organized “do not call” type list), but then cannot be bothered to help me with the hydromassage and they kindly suggested I go to some one at the front desk during my next visit, which comes across as lazy. If they cannot be bothered to communicate with their own co-workers, then it justifies why I’m not interested either. This is why I’m an introvert because when i detect BS i get belligerent, so i just avoid the confrontation. It doesn’t inspire confidence in their management culture and if the trainers cannot be bothered, it makes me wonder if they actually have the discipline and mindset to exceed health wise and inspire that in someone else. Then again, there is another sucker born every day.
5. I come to the gym after hours and the app didn’t work (server probably down) so I could not get inside. It’s a rare thing. Check your app before leaving home.
6. They pester me with emails (upselling and reminders/bragging about how good my membership is). I respect the hustle, but I had to block them because I respect my peace.”
“I traveled all the way from Jacksonville FL, and found Richardson’s next to my Hotel while on a work trip. This group treated me and taught very well. Highly professional, top notch instruction and follow through that pushed the pace and brought a challenge to a very long day. Altogether an enjoyable group of Martial Art Practitioners. I highly suggest a visit.”
