Shout-out the ladies who worked the night shift at the pharmacy today. They resolved what ended up being an hour endeavor because the Walgreens across town is incompetent...

Only giving one star because it’s required- the entire staff & pharmacist is disgustingly rude. I had to use them because my medication was on back order at my normal pharmacy. The pharmacist refused to fill my prescription because she stated my doctor was a “pediatrician and i was 30 something years old.” I went back up there once more where she stated she red flagged me and stated she called my local pharmacy and stated “my rx wouldnt be getting filled and she was canceling my rx completely.” she then called my primary care doctor whom told her he is NOT just a
pediatrician but a family doctor, and once they confirmed that to her, she then stated i came in their twice and she believes i was high and intoxicated n attempt to make me lose
my ex completely, whereas i went in to my doctors office that day and handled it and am using a new pharmacy . this pharmacist needs FIRED. she is disrespectful, vindictive, petty, and dishonest to top it off. i will NEVER USE this place & i will be calling everybody i have to in the chain of command.

I had a really great experience here after the Walgreens on Chalkville Mt road took 5 hours to fill my prescriptions and then they were out of one and it would be the next afternoon before I could get it. I'm in town from Colorado and sick and I needed my meds. The pharmacist in Pinson was very helpful and able to get that last prescription filled in 30-45 minutes. Thank you so much!

On May 20, 2025, I ordered my medication. I returned to the pharmacy to pick it up on May 31, 2025, at 10:30 AM, only to be told that it wouldn’t be ready until June 1, 2025 — a full 11 days after the original order date. I expressed that this was unacceptable, and I was told to come back in 20 minutes.
When I returned at 4:31 PM, only one of my prescriptions was ready. I was then told the rest would still not be available until the next day. At that point, I asked to speak to a manager and was directed to Grant, who was overseeing the pharmacy at the time.
Unfortunately, my experience with him was also disappointing. He interrupted me repeatedly while I was speaking and was extremely dismissive of my concerns. Rather than offering a solution or a sincere apology, he provided a list of excuses for the delay — none of which justified the extensive wait time or poor communication.
This level of service is unacceptable, especially when it involves important medications. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and that steps are taken to improve communication, accountability, and professionalism in your pharmacy.

Dentist called 4 times trying to give them a prescription throughout the morning, didn't pick up until noon. I couldn't get anyone on the phone either, so pulled up and asked at 1 if my prescription would be ready soon. They told me to come pick it up at 4, then when I did they told me they hadn't gotten the prescription and tried gaslighting me into thinking I hadn't talked to anyone. Guess I know not to get any more medicine here.

Poor customer service. They dont answer the phone for well up into 30-45 min saying they are answering other calls but when you go to the window, sometimes it the same thing. You may wait 10 min before that rude lady comes to the window to tell you that you will have to wait. Nothing like Brookshires used to be. I am changing pharmacies for sure. Am on hold right now and have been for 45 minutes. My prescription was called in two days ago to start taking yesterday so jo I have to push out till next week because of side effects. Totally unacceptable!

Absolutely the rudest individuals I have ever encountered in the Pharmacy. Even the head Pharmacist is so rude. I get being busy but there is absolutely no reason to be rude. I work in a Dr. office and I would not have a job if we acted this way. I called today to get a refill and that lady asked me for my name and DOB. I spelled my last name as they ask me to do every single time I go because they think I am saying Dobb. She said very rudely "you dont have to spell your name, whats your date of birth" I said and you do not have to be so rude and told her my DOB. This is the way the interactions go every time I go to the Pharmacy.

Doesn't even deserve a one star. This place is the worst pharmacy on the planet. People are rude and extremely unprofessional. The pharmacist doesn't deserve a job as she lets this happen. The clerk and I had words because of the way she treated an elderly couple in front of me and the pharmacist didn't say one word. I literally hate this place!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I’m a health psychologist and newly minted pain patient due to failed emergency back surgery and patient abandonment. I’ve run into more horrors than I ever thought possible as a pain patient but the most common is the look of disdain doctors, nurses, and pharmacists give me when they find out I’m a pain patient daring to seek medical care. Today was the worst though at this awful Walgreens in Pinson. My pain doctor had just prescribed a new medication hoping we could relieve some pain and I’d be able to sit up for longer than 20 mins without going into level 10 pain and then I can do PT to learn to move again. I called my regular Walgreens and several other pharmacies to see who had it in stock so I could do more in my PT appointment tomorrow and be able to return to helping my own patients next month. The Pinson location said they had it, so my doc sent it electronically as she was closing. I saw there was an insurance issue so I called again and was told it required a PA, an obstacle I’d encountered before so I simply paid cash if I couldn’t wait, so I asked how much it was out of pocket, and the pharmacist said $200, so I timed my meds just right so that I could be in the car for an hour even though I was majorly pushing my limits. When I arrived the tech squinted her eyes and glared in judgement and said she wouldn’t fill it, so I informed her I’d just spoken to the pharmacist who came over and squinted and glared as well. I wonder if they practice that dumb face with each other bc it was identical. She said Walgreens had a policy where they only allow cash payments if the PA is denied to which I said no I’ve done it before with another controlled substance and asked why she let me drive all the way to the country in pain if she had no intention of giving me my meds and she said she didn’t know I was coming. So I called corporate to open a case on her and searched for the policy but couldn’t find anything and I walked back in and called her on it and said she was discriminating against pain patients, another woman said, “mmmhmm,” nodding in agreement, so clearly this is common practice for this location. The pharmacist said she was canceling my entire prescription so I picked up my phone to record her so I’d have proof bc pain patients are never believed so we get pretty diligent about keeping records. I later found out she is allowed to refuse my meds if she feels like it as a quiet Walgreens policy, but I’m not so sure about canceling them - I’ll find out. Regardless I’d recommend you avoid this Walgreens if you’re a pain patient as I’m now in ten times more pain from driving an hour, going into fight or flight, and being left without the medicine that would have helped me learn to move again tomorrow, and if my doc believes me it will be two days before I can obtain them at my regular pharmacy who was horrified by how I was treated. I’m very sad for all of us that disabled people and pain patients are treated with such disdain especially since my speciality is treating medical gaslighting and trauma. You can’t treat trauma until you’re safe, and when you’re a pain patient you’re not even safe with those who took the job to heal you…in fact they’ll let you suffer and die without a second thought. I hope they all get to experience one day what they put us through on a daily basis. Have a day!

Joanne in the pharmacy refuses service on seizure and pain medication after days of giving me the run around. First said I had an attitude but I didn't, actually thought she was cool until she accused me of having one and then my husband spoke up towards her after she started showing aggression. Then said they didn't have my prescription in stock then said they did. Then made a big deal about my license being out of state. They've accepted out of state license before now they claim they can't verify who I am with a VALID out of state license. My husband believes she may be taking the pain pills and selling them illegally. I do not recommend doing business with Walgreens in Pinson, Al. at all. This is playing with people's lives.
