I was struggling to find a salon where they did fashion colors (& at an affordable price) as a full time college student. After a recommendation, I went to Shear Genius and had "Becky" (Rebecca Wester) bleach and dye my hair. I was nervous because there weren't any reviews I could find with the type of look I was after. My worries were immediately silenced when I sat in her chair. She was kind and wanted to know my hair history to give the best results. As she was preparing my hair, she described exactly what she was doing at each new method. She knew the science behind her work and seemed to genuinely enjoy what she does for a living. She was very gentle and tried very hard to not pull any hairs. At the end I was very happy to receive beautiful purple hair blended into a nice blue shade on bottom. I will definitely be returning and recommend dye jobs from her! It feels like getting a hair transformation from a friend vs. a stranger.

Save your money. My wife tried to get her hair done at this “salon†and they treated her like a dog. You get what you pay for folks.
