My family and I were on vacation headed to the beach when our 2007 Nissan Titan broke down because we lost all transmission fluid. Stranded and stressed, we reached out to my brother-in-law in Columbus, GA, who recommended Generic Transmission since he had a great experience with them 20 years ago. We looked them up on Google and gave them a call.
Jason, the shop manager, promptly answered and took down all the necessary information about our vehicle and our location. He quickly dispatched a wrecker to our location, which was a huge relief. Once I arrived at the shop, Jason reassured me that everything was going to be okay and encouraged us to enjoy the rest of our vacation.
Throughout the entire process, Jason kept me in the loop and repaired the truck rather quickly. When we returned to Generic Transmission to pick up our vehicle, I was pleasantly surprised to see that the truck had been washed and was ready for the road back to Atlanta.
Needless to say, I am forever grateful to Jason and Generic Transmission for taking the worry out of the equation. The truck was fixed right and at a great price. Highly recommend their services!

Generic replaced a transmission for me 4 years ago. The service, quality of workmanship, and price brought me back to them. They are still very service-oriented to the customer as well as the vehicle. My car didn't have a transmission problem, but they recommended somewhere to go & explained my problem. I will return for them to service my transmission.

I normally don’t give 5 stars but if you have engine/transmission trouble and somewhere trustworthy this is the way to go! Plenty of overflow parking and even if he’s swarmed with customers he still tends to everybody’s car in a timely manner. Please don’t hesitate to come by for help if only they did more lol

I took my vehicle here for service purely by chance. What I found was a welcoming, professional and honest experience. My expectations were properly set and the promised outcome was timely met. I highly recommend this shop for any transmission needs over any shop in the Columbus/Phenix City area.
