This Walgreens has the worst Pharmacy I've encountered in my 50 years as an adult. I live close to this Pharmacy. I have for 20 years now. I'm always thinking they can't get any worse, only to be surprised when they do continue to fail minimum expectations. I was told today, this Pharmacy ran out of a medication I have purchased from them most every month for the last ten years. No explanation or concern for my health. The pharmacy tech told me it would be better if I looked for my medication somewhere other than a Walgreens. After calling other pharmacies close by, I discovered this pharmacy was the only pharmacy without this medication. Another Walgreens pharmacy four miles from them in Alabaster told me they did have my medication. If the Pharmacist at this Pelham location cared about me as a customer, he would have told me which nearby Walgreens had my meds. I do plan to contact the District Manager over this Walgreens in Pelham, Alabama.I want to let him or her know I plan to inform every Walgreen's customer I know of how I have been treated at this location. I see their review rating is 3.1 stars. Enough said.

The older gentleman that helped me was really really sweet, but the older lady that I encountered with the long blonde hair and looks like she might’ve had way too much. Botox didn’t even acknowledge me I said hello she didn’t answer I said, will you have a great day she didn’t answer, I then proceeded to say merry Christmas. Happy Kwanzaa happy new year and a great day for the life of me. I don’t understand why people can be so disconnected in their community if you’re having a bad day OK but if your job requires you to deal with public like mine is the least you could do is give a quick. I’m doing well thank you .

The two older ladies here are very rude and unfriendly, cashier and photo shop. I don't plan on returning to this location. Nice cause it's 5 minutes away, but I will drive to Helena or Alabaster going forward

This Walgreens is actually the worst. It is only two minutes away from me but I have to drive 10 minutes away for a better Walgreens. I’m not even talking about their If if I want “Same-day” photo print & pick up, advertised discounts honoured, any type of help really. Just now, I bought medicine and it was advertised at a discounted price for reward members, once scanned at the register I asked how come it wasn’t reflected true, the lady at the register said “I don’t know, but your total is…” I’m not even looking for smiles or small talk, but these people just don’t care to help the slightest.

Walgreens has proven to be very unprofessional in their handling of my account. They charged me twice for a prescription and would not do anything to help me. Jessica told me her manager, Pam Mathis, instructed her to tell me to dispute the double charge with my credit card company. This is terrible customer service and I will never be going back to Walgreens again.

We have shopped at this store since it opened many years ago and the store personnel and management have always been very nice and helpful, however the Pharmacist has consistently been rude and at at times refused to get up from her computer and help at all. I would not use this pharmacy as long as she is there.

I had just gotten in the store good when they played the announcement that they were closing in 5 minutes and I needed to bring my purchases to the front of the store to be checked out. I didn't have any purchases yet and according to my cell phone, I still had 15 minutes before the official closing time. I thought I'd at least be able to pick up the important things on my list and that shouldn't take any longer than 5 minutes. As I started walking toward the back of the store, the cashier yelled for me to come check out right away. I informed her of the time and asked what the urgency was all about, and she told me that their system was problematic and that it would automatically close out the day 10 minutes early, on occasion. If this were to happen, the transactions for the day would be inaccurate, and I understood what a mess that would be for the accounting people, so I told her goodnight and left without buying anything. It was only a 10 minute drive to Hoover, and the Walgreens there is open 24/7 and never closes. They really need to get the system fixed asap so that more business isn't turned away from that store.

At the end of the day this is a pretty standard Walgreens. Nothing really jumps out at me as far as being exceptional which is why I'm holding to 3 stars for the review. As usual, prices are high, you can save if you are in the rewards program, but you'll need a degree to figure out how to spend the rewards. They are pretty good at getting you to buy a bunch of stuff that you probably didn't need, so that you can spend reward $$. Typical stock on hand as all other locations. Probably a little better kept than their competition, with regards to not having boxes lying around. Shelves are pretty well stocked as well. Didn't make a purchase so I didn't have any interaction with the staff, so can't comment on how friendly they are. They should, however, be greeting people and offering to help when you come in. If I was in the area and needed something I'd probably return, but wouldn't come out of my way to shop here.

There wasn't anything that really stood out about this trip to Walgreens. The staff wasn't as friendly at this location. The store seemed well stocked and clean. They had most of what I was looking for and I was checked out fairly quickly. Overall Walgreens is solid and my go to for certain items.
