They were very rude from the moment of confirmation , I canceled they still made the reservation, I then call the store a spoke with the manager she pretended to be concerned said she would call me back I didn’t receive a call back , I wanted to change to enterprise but couldn’t figure out how to cancel through my insurance company , so I called back set the reservation for pick up . Long story short they never showed up and it was confirmed with the Manager . I was already concerned the day before. MY INSURANCE COMPANY helped me cancel and switch to ENTERPRISE please don’t spend a dime here your money is worth more . I hope this help you make your decision. It’s not worth it .

All Hertz customer service is through an over seas company that will and can not give you a solution to any problem. Please don't ask to speak to a manager. They literally will just put you on mute or tell you to call back or tell you they will call back. All they want from you is a card number.

Please what ever you do, do not go to Hertz Pelham, they will rip you off, they wanted me to bring the truck back on Thanksgiving Day and when I did they was closed so I left the truck there and put the key in the truck with full tank, they is trying to make me pay for late fee plus charge me $209 for fuel & service charge, if I had to give them no star I would

I haven't rented a car in a long time. Tameka was so helpful. Great experience. I was almost 2 hours early. That was the time I could get a ride. The lobby was clean and nice. Tameka ended up giving me a van. I didn't have to wait long. Van was amazing. I picked up my 89 year old mom she loved the van. It was easy for her to get in and out. I will definitely go back to Heritz in Pelham, al

Worst experience from rental to return and customer service is non existent. First this was an insurance rental. We were required to pay $50 to get the car. Second the girl was the only one there and she was busy so she did not inspect the vehicle before we left. It was so dirty. Immediately we noticed one of the tires was almost flat. So we had to put air in it. Fast forward to returning the car.. the girl goes out to get mileage on the car and we were told we had to bring it back clean ( i worked in the car rental business for 5 years and never told anyone this, we had people to do it or we did it ourselves it’s part of the job) or pay $500 and there were ashes in the car.. first off no one smoked in the vehicle second what she saw was shaving from some lottery tickets we scratched. Went and paid $45 to have the car cleaned and she didn’t even check the car again to see if it was cleaned… Not saying we didn’t add to it but it was not that bad… Very rude from beginning to end… will NEVER rent from here again and will tell everyone i know to avoid this location. It’s horrible.

I went to drop my rental off and they charged me $200, when I asked why the manager told me it was because the insurance that my rental was through doesn’t cover the full amount. Called the insurance and they told me they do cover 100% and wasn’t sure why they would say that. The lady through the insurance company called Hertz and was told I chose the bigger vehicle than what they chose. The manager told me the day of pick up the insurance company picked out the vehicle and already had it pulled to the front. Now I’m trying to get answers as to why this has fallen back on me for THEIR MISTAKE the manager is lying and they can’t give me any information because it’s closed.

Made a reservation and when I got there the woman at the counter claimed they had no cars but when the other lady came out from the back and asked her how many cars they had left she mentioned that they still had a few. So I guess they pick and choose when they want to rent even when reservations are made in advance.

wish i could leave 0 stars. do not rent from this hertz. i reserved a car for the holidays, showed up, and the woman working told me they had nothing available. they didn’t even call me or anything to give me a heads up. when i asked her what my options were, she said “there are no options. we don’t have a car for you.” this left me stranded at a time when it’s near impossible to find a last-minute rental. complete scam and no customer service.

DO NOT COME HERE! We had a reservation two weeks prior to our visit today, and they were going to give us a box truck. Without exception because the representative Erin “had no other vehicles” three other people came in and they were all given the same attitude and told that they could not get their desired vehicle. We ended up paying an additional $100 for a normal economy car. It’s the worst experience renting a car we have ever had, and believe me, we’ve had some doozies.✨Merry Christmas ✨

Worst experience with a company I have ever had. I have had to deal with every bad practice of a company you can imagine, from customer support constantly hanging up before I can speak, to the back and forth game, to over charges, to being accused of stealing the car when we had proof we paid for it, to getting late fees even after showing proof we paid for it. With the years this company has tooken off my life just dealing with them I would rather remove a kidney than deal with them. If you don't believe me check out recent lawsuits against them. THEY ARE STILL DOING IT AFTER LOSING THE $160,000,000 LAWSUIT. I will tell everyone I know how this company scams people.

didnt have the car we reserved and charged us $20 for the one car they had on the lot. didnt tell us there was a charge for my husband to drive. told me one final amount, then when dropped car off at different location later that day, the amount was higher. this is a bait and switch operation. others in parking lot were very upset at their situations also-this is just a cluster of an operation and best to avoid is possible.
