I have been seen by 2 different physicians there. They are my family primary doctor.Whenever they do a lab work or x rays or anything whose results will come later on, they never call you to inform you about the results as their patient !! They are friendly, but not professional !!

Why is their phone # invalid when I try to call and make an appt? Quite ridiculous considering this is a doctors office. This needs to be fixed ASAP!

The best experience I've ever had with a Dr's office. Everyone there actually listens and cares for the patients and that makes all the difference. Sometimes I have a bit of a wait because they've been overwhelmed during this pandemic, but it's worth it to actually have your whole being cared for. Every time I leave an appointment, I thank the friend that referred me.

The truth about Cahaba Family Medicine – The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly...My last doctor had recently retired so I was in search for a new one. My wife referred me to her doctor, Dr. Snyder. I went to my appointment on 4/23/20 early, not sure what to expect as the new protocol for COVID19 was in effect. The office staff seemed a little stressed and hurried which I attributed to the new protocol. I was seen by one of Dr. Snyder’s Physician’s Assistants, Courtney Paschal, and I have nothing but good things to say about her. In fact, I don't think I've ever had this high a level of rapport with a health care professional I just met. She was easy going with a great sense of humor, but also professional. This is the Good. Before I left, I requested a referral to see a podiatrist. Later, I received information about the podiatrist, made an appointment with them, and when I checked in with them everything seemed normal until many months later when I got a $458 bill from them. This is the Bad.In my experience, referrals have always been something done in-house between doctors, specialists, and the insurance company. Patients have little to do with the process other than requesting them. My mistake was not following up sooner. With all my ignorance of the process I called BCBS to find out why I got a bill from the podiatrist. When they received the claim from the podiatrist, there was no referral on file from my new doctor! So, I called the doctor's office. I had previously talked to three members of Dr. Snyder's front office staff: Pamela, Morgan, and Laurie (Lori?). Pamela was the friendliest and spoke with a calm tone - the other two not so much. I didn't get the name of the receptionist I spoke to the last time I called, but when I asked her about the referral, my expectation was that I’d maybe get a little empathy - that they would check my records and if they had made a mistake, maybe get a “We're sorry. Let’s see what we can do to help you out and fix this.” Instead I was told that I had a “patient referral only. There is no insurance referral on file”, and “They [the podiatrist] never should have seen you without the referral. You need to take it up with them!” This effectively ended the conversation. The receptionist took no responsibility and shamelessly shifted all the blame to the podiatrist. If I knew then what I know now, I would have educated her on what I found out after “taking it up with” the podiatrist. They explained to me that my BCBS policy was a BEG policy that required a direct referral from the primary care provider to BCBS. So, when CFM was filing my claim to BCBS (so that THEY would get paid), they neglected to file the referral. Incompetence? How many times have they filed referrals? It's pretty routine isn't it? Either way, their negligence cost me $458 as in the time it took for me to find out about all this, the window for filing an appeal had just shut in my face. The CFM representative I talked to who was so curt with me on the phone may or may not have been the same one who neglected to file the referral, but she knows who she is and her co-workers know from working with her who she is. They know who gets the most complaints and somehow, she’s able to get up every morning and go to a job she obviously hates. This my friends, is the Ugly.I didn't read any reviews about CFM. I went in blind with only my wife's referral, but if you're reading this then you know as I know now that many of the other reviews out there are about how peoples' experiences with Dr. Snyder and his PA's have been positive, but not so of the front staff. Some have said its worth dealing with them so they can see the doctor they have been seeing for so many years. As a first-time patient however, I can't say the same. Both my wife and I are searching for another doctor. If you're also searching, I would advise looking elsewhere.

In four years, I have never actually seen Dr. Snyder, only one of his physician's assistants ... despite the fact that he promised another medical professional he would see me. ALL of my other providers have told me they do not think PAs, no matter how good, should treat patients like me who have multiple and complicated medical conditions. I like the PA, but I was shocked to read on a lab report that I had a "known" chronic illness that I personally knew nothing about. The report was sent to a specialist who practices in an entirely different discipline, but he confirmed that the results indicate I have it. I asked about it at my next appointment. The PA shrugged. Ironically, she is the one who has inisted I no longer need to see a specialist in that discipline. And then there are the reports of "normal" test results that were not, in fact, normal. Or the report no one ever got, which must be normal because we would have heard if it weren't. (Really?) The last straw is learning that my insurer has known for at least a year that my blood sugar levels are too high. I only found out after sorting through a mess online.Add in the unbelievable snark of the rest of the staff, especially the receptionist who denied the phone had been out of order after more than a week of calls going to other businesses, during which time a sign was posted on the door telling patients to call a mobile number because of phone problems, and the attitude one encounters when asking any question, and there are plenty of reasons to go elsewhere. Dr. Snyder has a terrific reputation, but that's not enough for me. I just hope no real harm has been done because I was ignorant of my real health.

The truth about Cahaba Family Medicine - The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly... Early last year I needed to get my infected ingrown toenail checked out. My last doctor had recently retired so I was in search for a new one. My wife referred me to her doctor, Dr. Snyder. I got an appointment and listed him as primary care provider with BCBS. When the day came, 4/23/20, I went to my appointment early not sure what to expect as the new protocol for COVID19 was in effect. The office staff seemed a little stressed and hurried which I attributed to the new protocol. I never met Dr. Snyder which seemed odd to me as in my 50 years on this planet I've always had a visit from the doctor at some point during an appointment. I later found out that he has staff members, Physicians' Assistants who are nurse practitioners I'm guessing, that are licensed to be primary care providers on their own but require a medical doctor's oversight. My PA was Courtney Paschal, and I have nothing but good things to say about her. In fact, I don't think I've ever had this high a level of rapport with a health care professional I just met. She was easy going with a great sense of humor, but also professional. This is the Good. Before I left, I requested a referral to see a podiatrist for my toe. They said they could perform the procedure themselves, but I really wanted to see a specialist because of how bad my toe was due to the infection. Later, I received information about the podiatrist, made an appointment with them, and when I checked in with them everything seemed normal until many months later when I got a $458 bill from them. This is the Bad. In my experience, referrals have always been something done in-house between doctors, specialists, and the insurance company.
