The hotel was clean and great if you have an event at the Orange Beach Event Center! The halls were hot and very humid - our door was wet daily. The pool is like a hot tub so was not refreshing in the heat of Alabama. The room was perfect size for us (3) two adults and a 7 year old and the balcony was a nice bonus with a view of the marina/waterway. Beds were hard :( Breakfast was good, most of the time. Staff was friendly always greeted us when we walked in. The little store at the check in desk is handy. You can walk to the Wharf which is nice as well.
Rooms: Nice size rooms, beds were hard, lived the view on marina side
Nearby activities: Wharf, there is a restaurant right outside the hotel and it is delicious, event center, dolphin cruise
Safety: We always felt safe inside and outside of the hotel.
Walkability: A 1 minute walk to the Orange Beach event center and a short walk to the Wharf.

I would recommend this Springhill Suites and I would definitely stay here again.
Rooms: The room we had, which was a 5th floor room, was absolutely fantastic! We had a view of both the pool and the canal. It was spacious and easily accommodated our family. The beds were very comfortable. There was a mini fridge, cabinets, and shelves for storing all of our food items. My favorite thing was the bathroom or rather bathrooms! The toilet and the shower were separated into two rooms, each with their own sink and mirror! This was excellent for a big family!
Nearby activities: Fishing, fishing, fishing, and by that I mean hiring a captain and going deep sea fishing. There are also things to do at the Wharf - a Ferris wheel, shopping, and movies. If you care to drive, then I suggest Gulf State Park or Waterville, USA, according to what suits your fancy.
Walkability: If you are needing to go to Orange Beach Convention Center, then you should stay here. If you have business at the wharf, then stay here. Otherwise, don’t be thinking you can stay here and walk to the beach because you can’t. Although you can enjoy views of the Intracoastal Waterway.
Food & drinks: The hotel posts the breakfast menu in the elevator, which is great. They have some gf breakfast items. The coffee was good!
If you are looking for a place to have dinner and you don’t like franchise restaurants, then The Original Oyster House is always good. Cotton’s is good for steak and seafood. Those two are usually not too bad of a drive unless it’s a holiday weekend. And there are a couple of places at The Wharf. I recommend Red or White, although please note it isn’t a seafood restaurant.

I currently work here! So yes this is an excellent destination! Room cleanliness is superb, service is simply stellar, and location cannot be better; equally distant to Mobile airport and Pensacola, multiple beaches within 10 min, tons of shopping within 15, not to mention the music concert series at The Wharf is a draw in itself. People who have been here before return, speaking volumes of our property.
Rooms: Rooms with QQ or K beds, either facing the Marina or the Courtyard/Pool area
Nearby activities: Plenty of shopping in the Wharf district, with game stores, arcades, escape rooms, unique shops of all types; literally something for everyone
Safety: Wharf Security patrols regularly and incidents of any kind are unheard of in this family friendly area
Walkability: Perfect to stretch the legs for an evening stroll or to catch a breeze. The Wharf is relatively small area and there is walking/biking trails nearby also
Food & drinks: Tons of restaurants on tap, I could certainly go on with this topic also. No fewer than a half-dozen, all types of cuisine, all categories covered, and there are bars nearby. The honorable mention however, goes to Mile Marker 158, which is attached to the hotel near the docks and Marina. Mile Marker has some exciting and delectable dishes; come see for yourself!
Noteworthy details: Enough cannot be spoken to of the quality of the staff at this property. From management, to housekeepers, down to vendors and passers-by, everyone is smiling here and it's apparent; this is the place to be!

Breakfast should start at 6am and not 6:30. no all day coffee availability. Room service is industry standard, but doesn’t get the sand from the beach out of the room.

It was my 1st time here and it was a very nice experience. The hotel was accommodation and the staff was friendly. Its also in a great location for alot of activities. The best part was being able to talk to a few people and get honest, helpful suggestions. Thank you so much to Stephanie who made some great suggestions and she was on target with every one. Her suggestions on where to eat and go were great. She was super sweet and fun to chat with, I highly recommend asking her if you need suggestions. I'd definitely go back to Gulf Shores.

Not very happy we book a room with a balcony we drive 4 hrs get here they gave us a room without a balcony .we go ask about it and they tell us our room we book and paid in full before we get there is given to someone else this morning that was a Marriott member (how did they know that we were not also Marriott members. No call no heads up. then we asked for a refund for not getting what we paid for and then the manager says that we can not get a refund. for 1 its not fair that you give a room already paid for by one person to another person the next day just because they are marriot members. Further more this is probably our one trip this year. So getting a room the way we booked it was part of the whole experience. We don’t get down time often. And to add insult to injury the front desk laughs at us as we are walking out. So not only did we pay 382 for a room that lacks all the features we were looking forward too. But 382 is a lot of money for a lack luster room., but what really did it for me was the insulting laughing. It’s not y’all’s 382$ that was lost. Or y’all’s time that was heavily inconvenienced. I would not recommend booking this hotel. They clearly do not care about your time or keeping their word. I’ve never been treated so ugly. I feel as if I have wasted closed to $400.

I was disappointed in the cleanliness of the room. Location was fine. There's a cute coffee shop in the shopping area by the hotel.

Stayed at The Wharf for a wedding this past weekend, and it was so beautiful! The staff is so kind, and responsive.
I especially want to shout out Stephanie. My room was cancelled (I got a new card and that number was not on the reservation). When I called the hotel in panic late Saturday night, she calmed my nerves and assured me I could rebook, and I’d be able to check in early.
I highly recommend this hotel!!

We had a wonderful stay here and the staff has been top notch especially the maintenance man in the evening, he was very diligent about making sure the property looks great. Only 4 issues during our stay in room 207 and they were not worth mentioning during our stay and doesn't affect my rating I just want staff to be aware of them: 1. the bathroom door lock was broken. 2. The reading lamps for the beds didn't work but may have been unplugged or something. 3. the shower was hot but not as hot as the sink water so maybe adjust the scald guard a little bit also some caulk was moldy. 4. The HVAC unit runs great, however the grille was very dirty and it seems that when the room was painted the paint got in the cracks around the access panel for the system making a "seal" so it makes me wonder how often the filters are changed and if they ever have been because it looks like a lot of paint, maybe even from original construction? I've attached a few photos.
Nearby activities: The food at the mile marker 158 that is basically attached to the hotel was amazing! Best burger I have had in a Very long time and I see myself as a burger connoisseur.
The Cetacean Cruises dolphin cruise was a waste of money, got us on the water to serve overpriced and diluted drinks and snacks and we only seen a few pelicans.
Walkability: The wharf shopping district is a short walk away and has a lot of fun family activities.
