We would come back for Tiffany alone! We only stayed here for a night, but wish we could have been here longer. The hotel is cleaned very well and right on the beach. Every staff member we encountered was very helpful and very loving towards our pups! Tiffany was the sweetest and our dogs became her dogs very quickly, she made our trip very special!

My husband and I stayed for 1 night . The hotel is right on the beach. We got a room with a beach view. From the time we checked in until we checked out , the service was impeccable. Our room was immaculate, I even took my shoes off and Alex in the carpet barefoot(which I never do) . Free hot breakfast was delicious . They also allow service animals, and have treats waiting for them at the front desk. When you check in, they have a little bag of goodies for you too! Thank you so much for the great stay and we WILL be back!!!

Overall, we had a pretty good stay. As others mentioned, the breakfast was lovely and had different options each day. All employees were super friendly and they even have beach/pool towels you can check out for the day. I did however get tore up from ants on the pool deck and outdoor seating area. Also, our bathroom had noticeable mold starting to grow on the ceiling because bathrooms don’t have vents. Use the digital key if you can. The physical key card system was by far the worst I’ve ever experienced and I’m a fairly tech savvy individual.
For a beachside hotel, it does what you need it to and is within walking distance of several great shops and restaurants. However, some upgrades and maintenance would help raise the scores.
Just to end on a positive note, Bryan, the manager/bartender at the Tiki Bar is great. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting at the bar one evening having reasonably priced bushwackers.
Nearby activities: Literally one of the best beaches in America.
Walkability: My wife walked to jersey mikes for lunch one day and coastAL is walking distance too - highly recommend.
Food & drinks: Wish the bar had food, but the drinks were good so that’s what mattered. I enjoyed that the switched up breakfast options each day. The link sausage was ?

We spent several days at the hotel for vacation in the first week of August 2024. The room and bathroom were clean. It had a beautiful balcony overlooking the sea where you can see dolphins swimming in the mornings. You just have to cross a bridge that connects the hotel with the beach to enjoy the Sea. The hotel employees are very friendly and fast. I took longer to ask for some towels when they had already been brought to the room. They have the so-called American breakfast: Waffles, eggs, bacon, fresh fruit, etc. The way the eggs are prepared changes every day as does the other things on the menu. You can see the beach from the lobby and while you have breakfast. The lobby is large. The pool area is very nice. The pool is partially covered but not deep. It's about 4 feet 6 inches deep. It is ideal for small children but if you like deep pools... this is not the hotel for you.
Rooms: Very clean and with a beautiful balcony.
Nearby activities: It has many stores with souvenirs. The pharmacy is in front. There is a shopping plaza with well-known brand stores about 22 minutes from the hotel. The rest of the chain stores are very close.
Safety: The place seemed safe to me.
Food & drinks: In front of the hotel you can find a variety of Sea, Italian, Mexican restaurants, etc. As well as pharmacies.

Excellent experience all around. The room had a nice ocean view and a private balcony. The staff was very friendly. Would definitely recommend Hampton to anyone looking to vacation in Orange Beach.

As a human, I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hampton Inn Orange Beach Gulf Front. The room was super clean as it looks like a newly renovated room. We had a balcony room that overlooked the private beach. We were told we could go to the beach area 24/7. There was a huge pool and hot tub as well. A cute Tiki bar was located on the opposite end of the pool area. Daily free hot breakfast with waffles, sausage, egg omlet style, potatoes, fruit, breads, etc. One thing I really found convenient was the "in-app check in" ahead of time
using the digital room key. Using this avoids having to physically check-in as well. However, the lobby is breath taking. If you walk in from the parking garage when you walk in all you see ahead is ocean view fromt the whole room, glass windows to the beach/pool area. The staff was amazing. Employees Sha Cha and reservations clerk Connie were a tremendous help in trying to eliminate a $75 pet fee for my service animal as I provided a doctors letter and current vaccine records. I also enjoyed that if you your room is on floors 1-3 you can park on the same level as you floor via the parking garage. Avoiding carts and luggage in the lobby and having to use an elevator to get your belongings to your room.
My two complaints are, number one: If you are mobility impaired be very leery of rooms that are not handicap accessible as the beds are platform beds and therefore sit a tad higher off the ground. I have hip/knee issues and I'm short (5'2). It was impossible for me to climb in the bed without a small stepstool. I'd have been sleeping in the chair had I not had bought it. On the mobility note I'd like to thank Sherika (probably misspelled, sorry) for helping me with my coffee. She saw me in my scooter trying to reach the cups in the lobby and immediately came over and offered to assist me. Even getting a cup sleeve and lid. She was kind and attentive. Service here was top notch from reservation to check out. Every employee was helpful and friendly and seemed geniunely happy to be there and assist customers.
However, another complaint: Although the hotel is pet friendly. Any size dog is allowed from what I've read. Be advised that pets are not allowed on the beaches .It's an Orange Beach, AL ordinance from what we were told. The pool and breakfast area are other areas pets are not allowed. I should mention the beach was extremely clean and free of litter. I read you can rent beach chairs and umbrellas. I read on other reviews the chairs rent for 2/$45 a day.
The biggest complaint is there are signs everywhere saying walk your pet in "designated areas". However, there are almost NO designated areas. The front by the parking garage is on a busy street with virtually no grass, all pavement. There was a tree in mulch I believe by the street that I believe was the designated area.
We spoke with an employee and was told the dog area used to be a grassy lot that was adjacent to the property. However, that property was not owned by Hampton and is currently under construction. Be advised its a big contribution site and may be daytime noisy. We wentvon thr weekend and there was no actual construction going on next door. The site next door is completely fenced off so there's virtually nowhere for Fido to go, literally. The bartender at the Tiki bar said as long as we picked up after Fido, we could use a tiny patch of grass adjacent to the bar area. Long story short, for $75 you can bring a pet but there's no place for a pet to potty.

So much to love and to hate about this hotel. HATE: First off… My son was hit in the arm and leg by the point of an umbrella that took flight in a gust of wind that’s provided by the beach staff. His cut and bruise could have been much worse or tragic. Then this review would have been on the news. I would recommend keeping all unassigned umbrellas closed until use before you kill someone. The AC does not keep up with the demand to keep room cool. (Room 902) Wife and I had to sleep on the sofa bed in front of the AC in order to get a good nights sleep. Luckily the sofa bed was comfortable. Fridge did not work on day 1. Had to have a replacement brought to the room which they did fairly quickly. Sick was clogged with beard hair backing up into the sick. Toilet was clogged after first “non toliet” paper used flush. Had to wait over an hour for them to come get us back up running the first morning. Breakfast wasn’t bad… just not enough put out for the amount of people eating breakfast. Stairs getting to the beach is a little steep. Don’t understand why there isn’t a ramp. LOVE: The staff from the front desk, to the house keepers and everyone in between were super personable and nice. The parking garage makes for an easy exit from the beach to drop off all your beach stuff at the car before heading back to the room. The location is perfect! Close to everything… To Far from nothing! Beach is quite and not overly packed. Sand is beautiful and fairly clean. Rooms are good size with plenty of space for 4 people. (Wife, Myself and 2 kids)
Overall this is our 2nd time staying here. Will most definitely stay here again. 4 stars for umbrella incident and 3 Star room due to Fridge, Sink and Toliet not working in the beginning and the AC not keeping room cool during our stay. Staff and Location 100% 5 out of 5!
Rooms: Nice size and Comfy beds.
Walkability: Easy access to the beach and local restaurants

This hotel was excellent! Service was great, rooms were clean, pool was nice, it's right on the beach and we had a partial view. They tried to upgrade us but it seems like everyone went to Orange Beach when Hilton Head got a hurricane including us so they weren't able to upgrade us, but the wonderful woman at the desk tried her best! The people at the desk were super friendly. The breakfast was really good too!
Rooms: The King suite was super spacious
Nearby activities: Has direct access to the beach, lots of shops and restaurants close by
Safety: Felt really safe

After a disaster experience with our reserved condo we had to scramble for accommodations for the night. Thank the Lord for Grace and the Hampton Inn Orange Beach! She was able to put us in a side ocean view room with about an hour's notice of our arrival!!
Room 203 was spacious and super clean. Staff is amazingly friendly and helpful. Free breakfast was hot and delicious. Would definitely recommend and return to this hotel. Thank you again Grace for your help in making our stressful situation alittle easier....you're the best!!

Stayed in room 203. Service was very friendly. Location perfect, right off the beach.
Room was musty and dirty upon arrival. Water bugs and other small bugs present in our room. Bath tub and sink didn’t drain, showered in ankle deep water each time. Our fridge was broken upon arrival. AC in room didn’t work, floor under AC unit saturated with condensation. Hot tub was broken, water cold. Dirty sheets left on pull out couch on arrival. Ice machine on 2nd floor broken. Would not stay here again. Booked this room, spending a little more, with hopes of having a nice place to stay, would have been better at a La Quinta. DO NOT RECOMMEND this hotel.
