Don’t expect the Marriott standard … horrid service. They tried to put us in one of the outdated rooms that smells like must and mildew. Got a room change to an updated room. Much better.

Great location and very nice hotel. However surprised to see Fox so called news on in the dining area, very devicive nonsense being aired in a vacation location is not appropriate.

This place has really gone downhill in the last year. Where to start there are so many problems. I know it's under renovation but I think they're like two people working here and no housekeeping. The two stars is for the people at the front desk being so friendly...when you can find them.Where to start.....1) bathroom: see video: the tile was cracked in multiple places, there was a black substance leaking out of the shower head, and when I turned on the faucet, it spewed black junk all over the tub. There was also sand and hair in the tub. Gross. Empty Kleenex box with no replacement in sight.2) no hair dryer, no iron3)beds had no blankets, or if they were blankets they were as thin as sheets. Felt like I was sleeping on a box spring not a mattress. No spare blankets but there were three extra pillows literally thrown haphazardly in the closet. Called down for Kleenex and a blanket. Next morning a box of Kleenex was in a laundry bag outside my door. No blanket. Came back 8 hours later , app says "blanket delivered" . It has not. I had to call down again for it.4) door to the outside has been propped open since we got here. Not sure overnight or not but no one is working....why is it propped open?5) housekeeping does not appear to exist. Cup on the windowsill at the end of the hallway when I checked in on Friday. Sunday morning it's still there. As are the three bags of trash next to the elevator.6) no idea when the breakfast floor was last cleaned. Footprints everywhere and you can hear the stickiness ?7) weird white powder in my room. Have they been cleaned at all???I feel like there are about 3 employees here and no housekeeping. I understand you're renovating but this is completely unacceptable, especially the mold or metal shavings that spew into the shower. Between that and getting a terrible night's sleep I hope I never have to come back.

We spent the night here on the way to Orlando. Very nice hotel right on the beach but they would not let us park our RV in the parking lot. We had to park it across the street at the nearby Walmart.

Where to start, too many to list. Being members we weren’t offered the suit even when we were willing to pay for it. Nowhere during reservations was it stated that the place was under renovation, it was not like they charged us less by any means. Pool was closed, upon raising discontent we were reluctantly offered an upgrade to a suite which was on the side of the floor that had renovation going on. So the workers started working early in the morning hindering us from sleeping in late. Corridors and elevators had paint spills. We go in to the “upgraded suit” with old furniture and shabby paint job. Bathroom with hair in the shower, shower curtain that beats the purpose, iron that was old, rusted, broken and had wires exposed, soap dish with soap marks/residue already in it. Come on we didn’t need an upgrade that bad, that you give us a downgrade in the name of upgrade. Adding photos. Overall not coming back and will urge management to take care of their property better.

This is not how we planned on closing out 2022 on our Christmas vacation. The room I have donot have any heat, no hot water, dry rotten towels, sheets and pillows the toilet is broken, no channels on the TV, the tub is rusted and refuse to even wanna sleep on those sheets and bed linens! I requested another room and was told....no more rooms but no one is here , the parking lot is empty!!!!!! Did I mentioned, it's also under construction and renovation and the noise and knocking is unbelievable!! Whew,I am disappointed and disgusted with this hotel and CANNOT wait until morning! Nothing work! I'm cold, uncomfortable, and afraid to even sleep here. Please DONOT stay here!!!!Angry customer from Alabama.# just close it until you you complete renovation please....Nearby activities: Close

Haily Hunley needs to act like an actual adult and NOT a child. Not only was you're clerk texting my 16 yr old daughter while she was working the desk on 12/28 but she also threatened her with physical violence. I called the hotel yesterday to talk with management about the situation insted of involving the Police Dept and Haily hung up on me. I will be filing a complaint with the BCSO and I have already placed a call to the corporate office. Is this how you allow you're employees to act while on the clock? Very unprofessional and disheartening that you would even allow this.

We needed a room for the night and this was really nice, good coffee and close to the beach without asking for too much money.

Convenient to where our conference was located, stores, restaurants and beach access. All associates we interacted with were wonderful, attentive, smiling.I want to highlight Keia. She was amazing, hospitable, accommodating. She went above and beyond during our short stay. She’d be the reason we come back. Other than that the hotel needs work. Simple engineering issues that would go a long way if noticed during room inspections. RM 106 most outlets didnt work for us, desk light didnt work, bathroom sink doesn’t drain well. The hotel definitely needs some type of renovation. Lastly, we left a ring and pillow. The ring wasn’t a big deal but the pillow was obvious with a green pillow case. I returned a few hours later and received the pillow but without the pillow case. One of the GMs Robert was helpful however overall it didn’t seem like a big deal that the pillow case was removed.Again, the staff we interacted with made the stay but other issues definitely need work.Nearby activities: Close to restaurants, stores and beach access.

We really enjoyed our stay. The location was close to everything but the best part was Dwight. He was so welcoming and gave the best food and activity recommendations. He always had a bright smile and laughed about our adventures from the night before. He's awesome ??

To be fair, this is the same review I left with Marriotts survey. The rooms and overall campus are in need of some updates. The original room smelled pretty bad, I requested to move and the receptionist kindly moved us as the smell in the room (musty / damp) was unbearable.. The second room also smelled pretty bad, but not as bad. The carpet in the room was pretty foul too, walking around barefoot you could feel a bunch of hair on the floor. Toilet didn't flush properly either, had to push the lever back up to stop it from constantly draining water. The TV didn't work either. I didn't say anything to the attendees as I didn't want to be that annoying customer so we dealt with it.As others have said, you get what you pay for. It's unfortunate as I've stayed a bit under 50 nights at various Marriotts, including other Fairfields and this is right down there at the bottom with, oddly enough, another Fairfield in PA. This one was a hair better as the tub actually drained and the toilet worked better than that one.Rooms: Not too great as noted above.Walkability: Not far from a few places, including Walmart which is basically a grocery store. That Walmart is pretty clean too!

The room was nice but felt really moist when we arrived. As the days went on, the sheets kind of felt dry. The room service was kind of lacking because my wife called to get our room vacuumed and they didn't show til the next day. The area was great because we came for my son's birthday ? and they were close to all the kid activities.

Overall the service was fine, there was no one at the front desk when I arrived but I did not have to wait too long. We stayed at this hotel around 10 years ago and had fond memories. The hotel has deteriorated. In our room, toilet was not working properly, furniture was dated, room was not real clean, some tiles were chipped, phone was dirty, stain on blanket, new room had mildew in bathtub, ongoing construction, etc…. We cancelled our reservation and booked another hotel. The price is good but you get what you pay for…

Spent a week in September (off season). The building is older and could use a refresh…But the location is spectacular for the rate! 5 min walk to the beach, 5 minute walk to Walmart, 5 minute walk to Al’s 5 and 10. 4 minute walk to Cactus Cantina. What this means is that a budget traveler gets more than their money’s worth if you want to be on the beach but don’t have “on the beach money”.The real key is the staff! Haily at the Front Desk makes everything go smoothly even when it doesn’t. Bonnie kept the dining area clean, the food coming (breakfast is included), and the coffee was hot all day long. Patrick was everywhere keeping the grounds looking clean and taken care of. The back doors leading to the hot tub and pool deck do not work with your hotel key…and Patrick would unlock these doors during the day so it was easy to come and go. Jan was the handyman who was busy fixing all the little things that would go wrong. Fast and efficient. And all around help was Shante: I think I saw her in the kitchen and front desk.Note: almost all the doors and windows in this hotel are old, poorly fitting doors. So they do not close smoothly. When leaving your room, pull the door shut. When going into your room, push the door and flip the bar over. I stayed in two different rooms and checked the doors to the outside bathroom and every door seems to get stuck!Parking is free although the sign out front says there is a app to pay for parking. Ignore that sign. All in All, I gave this hotel 4 stars because the property is older and needs a refresh…but the staff was so kind and accommodating, and the location was so perfect for me (parked my car and never drove anywhere while I enjoyed the beach!)Bought a beach chair at Al’s 5 & 10 so that I could sit on the beach early in the morning and late at night….the rental beach chairs are only available 8-5 (not associated with the hotel, just adding the information for extra awareness)Be sure to ask the front desk for the code to the beach walk gate. I know one couple didn’t know about the gate and they drove everyday to the public beach! So if they forget to tell you, be sure to ask!Loved my stay. Can’t wait to go back again.Rooms: Older rooms. If you want to face the ocean and have a balcony, note there are only about 9 rooms with this feature. The ocean facing rooms are all facing south, so you can have direct sunlight all day. If you like it cold, maybe ask for the rooms facing the pond and pool? But that’s not my jam…I like the sunlight all day! you cannot actually see the beach or the ocean…the whole beach front is wall-to-wall condominiums…but you can face the beach. Loved my balcony room! Had a fridge and microwave.Walkability: The hotel is back behind two shopping centers. Walmart is the anchor store in one, and Al’s 5 & 10 is at the other. Two ice cream stores and lots of reasonably priced gift stores! I parked my car and walked everywhere.Food & drinks: The Food at Cactus Cantina was simple and honest good fare. You always get a basket of tortillas and salsa. Orders come out FAST. And the location is right between the hotel and the beach.
