Went shopping at Bungalows today with my 10 year old son, I was looking at earring and of course allowed him to go look at other items (He’s 10, not 3) I noticed that the employee kept following him around and giving him dirty looks. So I walked away from the earring and asked my son had the lady said anything to him. He said she told him “back away” with a firm evil look in her eyes while he was looking at some items. I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt and she explained to him “maybe she’s just worried you was gonna break something.” Then he starts looking at some sports stuff, picks a piece up that was displayed in some small Little Rock’s, I saw her go up to him again and the facial expressions I saw her have while talking to my son stroked a nerve so I asked him what did she say to him. He proceeds to tell me she said “clean it up.” As some of the tiny Little Rock’s fell out on the table.. so I march my little booty up to this miserable employee and asked her if she really just told my son to do her job? She responds with “yes I did.” Her name was Sarah. Not sure what this company is paying her for unless it’s babysitting 10 year olds and demanding them to do her job. Highly considered knocking the entire thing over and telling her to clean it up BUT somehow possible the Good Lord helped me be the better person when Lord knows I SURE HAD SOME OTHER PLANS. ? Sarah should be written up or fired immediately. Not someone I would ever want working for me.
Stalked my child, was rude to my child on multiple occasions, and did nothing work wise except run her mouth and it definitely wasnt running to increase sales..

I’ve shopped here every year and have always had a pleasant experience, until today. I purchased a dress yesterday and got to the condo and it was too big for my daughter. Took it back this morning only to be told, by two employees, that the manager had to do returns and she would be back @2:00. I went back at 2:15 and was just going to exchange the dress for the exact same dress in a bigger size for me to wear (just swapping size) and was told again that they couldn’t do anything without a manager and this time she would be in at 3. Needless to say I have to make a 3rd trip today just to exchange this dress. Ridiculous. Train your employees on how to do a simple exchange.

Service is terrible. Always an issue at cash register. My wife has been in there for an hour trying to checkout and now two women are fighting about something. Selection is adequate for what they have but this is a tourist trap area. Prices are inflated. I recommend not shopping here. Too many issues.

This has always been one of my favorite stores to find unique items, both for myself and as gifts for friends. However, I will no longer be visiting this store. I tried to exchange a purse three and a half weeks after purchasing it because both sides were coming unstitched. Although I didn’t have my receipt, I did have the tag that was on the purse and I also remembered the exact date of my purchase. The sales clerk responded with, “Let me show you something.” I started to follow her, thinking we were going to look at purses, and she told me to stay where I was. She went behind the sales counter, removed several items, and unearthed a sign regarding exchanges/returns must be within two weeks of purchase. I informed her I understood the sign but stressed that the purse was obviously defective. She suggested that I take it to a seamstress and have it stitched up. Really??? Spend additional money on a lower quality purse that totaled $54.99. At some point she asked if I was a local - don’t know what that has to do with my purchase or my request for an exchange (and yes, I’m a local ). As I told her, this was a hard lesson learned: 1) I’ll stick with buying higher end purses that last more than two weeks. 2) I’ll find another local store that has unique items on which to spend my money.

BEWARE: This store and its employees are horrible. I made a purchase of 4 items as Xmas gifts for my family members. (Swim coverups) one of the items was faded and I did not notice it until I got home to Pennsylvania. I called the store and asked if I mailed it back could they replace it. No they would not do that. Even though I called within the 14 day return policy. I was willing to pay the postage to return the item. I was only looking for an exchange. I couldn’t get anyone to call me back, and when they finally did on October 31, the women (Kathy) lied and said she left me a message and that it wasn’t within the exchange period and that I washed the garment. Number one, I do not have voice mail set up on my phone, 2. I took pictures of the garment with the tag attached, so it was not washed, 3 it was within the 14 day return policy. I have all of this documented. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT shop or purchase anything from these thieving liars. These people are not trustworthy individuals and KARMA will deal with them.

TERRIBLE employees and service. I live here locally and i went into bungalows knowing all about their problems from former employees. Whoever the Big lady is with shorter hair with gray roots was a total diva. i believe her name is “robin”atleast that’s what the short, nasally voiced lady called her. She talked down to employees and the employees openly show a disgust for her. first time coming in here in a while and i could tell who the problem was from the start. she rolled her eyes when she was asked for help, and while in line she jumped in front of another employee and said “this is my customer” like she makes some kind of commission. very uncomfortable being in there from start to finish. and you can obviously tell there is a split between the employees. i don’t even work here and i can tell it’s a very toxic environment. Only positive i gained from being in there was a very sweet lady named pam. super nice and was all about everything.

Horrible service and employees. Condescending employee treating people like they're broke and going to steal rather than spend money in the store. My wife went in to get a sweater she had already looked but we just left the beach and she was looking rather homeless. Employee rudely asked if she needed help and rolled her eyes. My wife put the sweater back she had just picked up. We've shopped here for years anytime we're visiting Alabama and this will be the last time we visit. We will spend our money where we feel welcomed.

Very neglectful and biased experience. The customer service was disappointing and insulting. I had to ask for service moments later, although the ladies BOTH saw and greeted me. They just vanished and chose to help others, excluding my girls and me. Even after purchasing Pandora {3 charms and bracelet}, they did NOT clean nor shine the items. The items were dropped in a little box bag without even clasping the bracelet. I will NEVER shop here again.After seeing my purchase, the new lady (3 days hire) stated, "I should have waited on you." Lol (just a joke that wasn't funny to me)!!

We were staying in Perdido Key, but we wanted to spend the day in Orange Beach. And we stopped at the Wharf so my brother could go into a store he found online. I saw Bungalows as we walked by, and they had such cute stuff. So I ended up buying the cutest tie dye dress. And I wish I would have bought the buddha girl bracelets. I might call and see if they will ship! They were so friendly too. We are from KY!

I called in search of something and young lady that answered the phone was extremely helpful and polite!!!! They did not have what I was looking for but she told me the closest place to locate it. Excellent service Bungalows!!!! ??
