The morning before I dropped him off in the afternoon, I left a message for the vet about diabetes care and checks during his stay. After I picked my cat up, I found out that my message was never given to the vet. They did give my cat his current dose of insulin daily while he was there. However, the opportunity was missed for checks and possible better glucose control.

1304 McCoy St, OpelikaWe lovvvvve Countryside Vet Clinic. Everyone there cares for our fur baby as they would their own. Our "Boomer" enjoys his baths and boarding times there. Dr. Rider provides excellent medical care and is very attentive to the medical needs of each pet patient! We highly recommend Countryside Vet Clinic for excellent pet care!

151 Huguley Rd, OpelikaMy husband and I recently took our dogs, Athena and Aurora, to Maringo Creek Farm for a 4-week basic obedience course, and I can't praise them enough for the love and training they provided! Initially, I was hesitant to leave our dogs for four weeks, but Maringo Creek Farm exceeded my expectations. The beautiful farm offered a wonderful alternative to boarding at a vet. They invited us to visit the farm beforehand for a walk-through. Seeing how smoothly they run everything and where our dogs would stay gave us huge peace of mind. It also allowed Athena and Aurora to get accustomed to the environment before their four-week stay.Jana regularly sent us pictures, reassuring us that our dogs were happy and well-cared for. The staff treated them like family and even went the extra mile by giving our husky extra baths for her itchy skin. Corey’s training class was impressive, with Jana and her husband explaining everything step-by-step. They answered all our questions, then allowed us to get hands-on and walked us through how to do it ourselves. We did not feel rushed and gained a great amount of training ourselves out of it.We are grateful for the exceptional care and training provided by Maringo Creek Farm and will definitely return for any future boarding needs. Thank you, Maringo Creek Farm, for creating such an incredible environment for our dogs.

122 S 8th St, OpelikaEvery city I visit (or move to in this case) I try to support local Black owned businesses. Sometimes it's a hit and other times it's a miss. The Coffee Shop is a hit! This is my favorite coffee shop in the Auburn/Opelika area. The owners, staff, and service are great! They are so friendly and care about you as a customer! I like to meet up with friends and study here. I enjoy the vibe and the music too. The drink menu staples are good. But, I like how they put out a seasonal menu too. My favorite right now is the one that tastes like Blue Bell ice cream and the Brown sugar buzz. I tried the AVO toast last time and it was delicious! It was avocado toast with a balsamic glaze on sourdough. I can't wait to order it again! So if you're in the area please check them out. You definitely won't be disappointed!

Julie was kind and helped with set up, kept our party separate and made sure we had everything we needed. The space was perfect for our needs and the cost was very reasonable. I highly recommend the Whistle Stop Bottle and Brew for your party venue!

Side note the beer cheese and pretzel is AMAZING. Their beer and pizza are great too.
