We were so lucky to have found Emergi Pet during a very scary time! Dr. Wendt and the staff at Emergi Pet saved Dexter's life and connected us with Animal Medical Center to follow up while we were traveling out of town. They were patient, caring, and kind throughout this scary and stressful emergency. Dexter is now doing much better and has a good quality of life now that his condition is controlled with medication. We are so grateful for Emergi Pet!

Dr Hinton and the staff took wonderful care of our puppy. We were there on a holiday weekend night. Everyone was so caring. They explained tests, options, and aftercare all thoroughly. I would very much recommend this location if you have a pet emergency.

I can’t say much regarding the doctors and techs! They may be amazing and I truly hope they are! But the receptionist just isn’t the most friendliest out there! When you call and say that your dog was seen by her primary vet earlier that day for a suspected obstruction but that he couldn’t verify, and that he left at noon for a few days after sending your dog home on meds, and that your dog has gotten much worse since that visit and you need advice on what to do because the primary vet said that he would give her until Saturday, but like I said, she was much worse at this point and the response you’re given is “yeah I don’t know, we haven’t seen the dog, do whatever your vet said to do” just didn’t sit right with me. It wasn’t just the words but the nonchalant attitude you could pick up with her. I was calling to ask that if we came tonight because my dog was clearly much worse, and it was determined that she in fact did have an obstruction, could they do surgery tonight? I even had copies of her radiographs and comprehensive bloodwork that I was happy to bring with me. At this point she could barely stand up, was vomiting over the cerenia, and was clearly so much worse so I knew waiting until Saturday was not an option, she needed some type of relief. Obviously I couldn’t get ahold of her primary doctor because he was out of the office, so how was I supposed to know what he wanted us to do since she was so much worse than when compared to her initial visit when he stated that he would wait until Saturday. Our rDVM did mention that if it was an obstruction in her stomach, that it’s possible that it could be removed with a endoscope. So of course asked if they had one, which she said they didn’t, and that was fine and all, but it was the pure fact that I was calling regarding if my dog could be seen this evening by them (as I know, there can be other emergencies that they’re in the middle of) and be given medical advice on what to do next! Not having an endoscope was most certainly not a dealbreaker as i know it’s just a non-invasive procedure when compared to an open gastrostomy. We ended up going to Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine which I can assure cost me entirely more than what it would have been at EmergiPet, but at this point money didn’t even matter. All that mattered was that my dog was okay. She ended up having an foreign body obstruction in her pylorus and duodenum with a linear component, which if you’re familiar with vet med, isn’t the kind of foreign body you like to hear your animal has. She had developed pneumonia from aspirating the vomit she was doing over the period of her getting worse throughout the evening, you know, when I was on the phone with EmergiPet trying to get guidance on to wait it out like her primary dvm said or to bring her in. Thankfully my dog is alive and is in ICU being closely monitored and is being given strong antibiotics and nebulous’. Please teach your receptionists to have a listening ear, listen to the whole situation and consult a tech or dvm when not sure about something, and to not be so short with an unnecessary attitude when all someone is trying to do is get help for their pet! Had I taken your receptionist’s advice of “do whatever your DVM said earlier today”, my dog would probably be dead or fighting sepsis.

We had a wonderful experience here. Dr. Morgi? Both ladies wrking that night were so helpful, calm, dumbed down the medical terms for us, laid out the prices clearly. I wish they werent just emergency.

Our cat fell into a bathtub with very diluted bleach. We called to see if we needed to rush him over there, and we were told to call poison control instead, which costs $87 just to speak with someone. Emergi pet didn't even tell us to rinse him off really well. Google was more informative than they were!

Took my sweet blue heeler in Saturday, asked them several times to test him for parvo and they told me he did not need it because he was to old. I took him there because I did not want him to suffer all weekend. Had to take him to another vet this morning and he ended up dying from parvo. So after over $600 worth of test including over $200 for x-rays, he died of parvo and suffered all weekend, because they did not do what I asked them for.

This place was a true blessing for us! My fur baby suffers from epilepsy and this weekend was a horrible weekend. This place went above and beyond to make sure my fur baby was safe and taken care of! They kept him over the weekend to make sure he wouldn’t get worse! They would call us and text us with updates! The staff is so kind and caring not only to the fur babies but the owners as well!

Takes too damn long and charges too much. Anyone who brings your pet here better be ready to sell you kidneys to afford it. They tried to charge 100's of dollars extra to do unnecessary things to my dog . If you don't have any common sense I wouldn't come here cause they'll definitely ram it in you sideways if you don't know any better.

Rescued a pup that got bit by a snake and Dr. Wendt, Dr. Mordecai, and Dr. Hinton did an amazing job saving her life. Very understanding & compassionate throughout the entire process! Before and after pictures :)

They were very kind, compassionate, and communicated with us throughout the process. Our puppers started having seizures at the start of the weekend and they got her on the meds needed until we could get back to our regular vet.

I took my very very sick dog one evening because all the vets around were already closed. Her whole face was swollen and she had a terrible ear infection. She couldn’t even hold her head up.I told them that I thought it was her ears, and they took her in. Then they proceeded to express her anal glands?!? And make her poop?!? Wrong end!!!!I was then given a printout of what they could do for $800, none of which included treating her ears, even though they told me she did in fact have a horrible ear infection, and I needed to take care of it bc “they didn’t do that”. I paid them $200, then took home a still very sick dog. I took my dog to a real vet in Jasper the next day. Luckily, that vet DID treat severe ear infections and helped my dog tremendously.

First of all I want to say that they took very good care of my dog, I think. The problem I have with them is that they make us wait outside in the 100 degree heat for over 3 hrs, my dog had to stay around an hour of that time. They claim that there was construction going on and I would have to wait outside. I looked around and didn't see any construction, only a 5 gallon paint can was placed at the front door. My belief is, they got used to people having to wait outside during the pandemic and they love that. I understand that they prefer to be with animals more than people, I'm the same, but we humans are paying the bill and we need to be treated with respect too. The pandemic is over so please let us come inside. Also, I don't like my dog getting treatment with me not around, I don't know for sure if they did an xray or urine sample even tho I was charged for it. I hope the owner will see this and open the waiting room. Thank you.
