My sweet dog was put to sleep a day later after Dr Keith Lee treated my dog for what ? Parasites and vomiting ? I am not sure what he was treated for. ….within two hours of being injected with a prescribed medicine and sent home with antibiotics, my dog lost complete use of his back legs, was nearly comatose unresponsive, developed a fever of 103, refused all food and water thereafter except some water the next day before being taken to msu for help - still no hind leg function, a soaring fever, a near unresponsive pet and euthanized due to his failing liver . I never in my life would have thought Emergi pet vet would toss ALL caution to the wind for ANY REASON w such a risk of the medication causing my dog to fall into liver crisis within two hours. My dog had eaten earlier that day, was responsive, and could walk on his own. The day prior, my dog had asked for treats and playtime…like normal …. Heartbroken utterly heartbroken…..AND angry I didn’t question the vet about his quick unthinking treatment of my dog j. PS STOP DEFENDING EACH NEGATIVE RESPONSE. IF EMERGI PET (excluding Dr morticai and wendt) vet was genuinely doing what…. should be expected of him…there would be no need to CONTINUALLY MONITOR ANY REVIEWS IN ORDER TO CLEAN UP THE TERRIBLE REVIEWS OF HORRIBLE TREATMENT WHILE SHAMING THE TRAUMATIZED OWNERS OF THE PETS WHICH have DIED …..mine included . Rather let the reputation speak for itself. Good reputations DO NOT NEED TO DEFEND THEMSELVES FROM NEGATIVE REVIEWS. I DONT CARE HOW MUCH GARBAGE AND GASLIGHTING EMERGI PET KEEPS TRYING TO POST IN RESPONSE TO NEGATIVE REVIEWS…. THERE ARE SIMPLY WAAAY TOO MANY NEGATIVE REVIEWS. Instead focus on correcting the problem whether it’s the disheveled looking vet or something else… please don’t reply with some attempt to manipulate my narrative. My subjective review.

If I could give less I would, my cat got sick and no vet would take her so last resort would be the emergency room for pets right? Nope they also denied me service resulting in the death of my cat.

Our dog had gotten hurt pretty bad on his face and it was on Memorial Day weekend. That means our vet in Fosters was closed. We went to Emergi Pet Vet they had taken care of our smaller dog a few years ago that had been bitten on her face by a copper head snake. They were pretty busy but got us in as quick as they could and did a fantastic job on Scooby's face, a lot of stitches and a tube in face so he had to be put to sleep for the procedure. So if you have a pet emergency I highly recommend them they are very nice and have a great staff.

I had to take my cat Precious. I was a wreck when I arrived. Everyone from the staff was great. We didn’t have to wait long and they explained the treatment plan with me along with the cost. Glad Emergi Pet is there for our fur babies. Would highly recommend ?

DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE. THEY LET OURS DIE!!!! We took our sweet Molly there 4/10/24. She had been diagnosed with pancreatitis. Our regular vet felt she needed to be watched closely overnight so she recommended we take our girl to this place since they have a staff all night. We picked our girl up from McLendon at 5:30 and arrived at this place 20 minutes later. At 8:00 they called to tell me my dog died. She was alone in a cage when she died. Had we been told she was critical we would have never left her there. We would have made the difficult decision to be with her in the end. My husband and son went immediately to pick our girl up and they were more concerned with the remaining $300 balance on the $585 estimate they gave us. McLendon sent all her medication for the night. All this place was supposed to do was monitor our baby. They had her 2 hours and still charged us the full amount. When my husband and son arrived, the staff was laughing and joking in the office. So not appropriate. I will regret for the rest of my life taking my baby girl here. There is zero compassion or care. The Richey’s, Tuscaloosa, Al

They were very helpful over the phone with suggestions. When that did not work I brought my dog in and they were fast, kind, and thorough.

We were so lucky to have found Emergi Pet during a very scary time! Dr. Wendt and the staff at Emergi Pet saved Dexter's life and connected us with Animal Medical Center to follow up while we were traveling out of town. They were patient, caring, and kind throughout this scary and stressful emergency. Dexter is now doing much better and has a good quality of life now that his condition is controlled with medication. We are so grateful for Emergi Pet!

Dr Hinton and the staff took wonderful care of our puppy. We were there on a holiday weekend night. Everyone was so caring. They explained tests, options, and aftercare all thoroughly. I would very much recommend this location if you have a pet emergency.

I can’t say much regarding the doctors and techs! They may be amazing and I truly hope they are! But the receptionist just isn’t the most friendliest out there! When you call and say that your dog was seen by her primary vet earlier that day for a suspected obstruction but that he couldn’t verify, and that he left at noon for a few days after sending your dog home on meds, and that your dog has gotten much worse since that visit and you need advice on what to do because the primary vet said that he would give her until Saturday, but like I said, she was much worse at this point and the response you’re given is “yeah I don’t know, we haven’t seen the dog, do whatever your vet said to do” just didn’t sit right with me. It wasn’t just the words but the nonchalant attitude you could pick up with her. I was calling to ask that if we came tonight because my dog was clearly much worse, and it was determined that she in fact did have an obstruction, could they do surgery tonight? I even had copies of her radiographs and comprehensive bloodwork that I was happy to bring with me. At this point she could barely stand up, was vomiting over the cerenia, and was clearly so much worse so I knew waiting until Saturday was not an option, she needed some type of relief. Obviously I couldn’t get ahold of her primary doctor because he was out of the office, so how was I supposed to know what he wanted us to do since she was so much worse than when compared to her initial visit when he stated that he would wait until Saturday. Our rDVM did mention that if it was an obstruction in her stomach, that it’s possible that it could be removed with a endoscope. So of course asked if they had one, which she said they didn’t, and that was fine and all, but it was the pure fact that I was calling regarding if my dog could be seen this evening by them (as I know, there can be other emergencies that they’re in the middle of) and be given medical advice on what to do next! Not having an endoscope was most certainly not a dealbreaker as i know it’s just a non-invasive procedure when compared to an open gastrostomy. We ended up going to Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine which I can assure cost me entirely more than what it would have been at EmergiPet, but at this point money didn’t even matter. All that mattered was that my dog was okay. She ended up having an foreign body obstruction in her pylorus and duodenum with a linear component, which if you’re familiar with vet med, isn’t the kind of foreign body you like to hear your animal has. She had developed pneumonia from aspirating the vomit she was doing over the period of her getting worse throughout the evening, you know, when I was on the phone with EmergiPet trying to get guidance on to wait it out like her primary dvm said or to bring her in. Thankfully my dog is alive and is in ICU being closely monitored and is being given strong antibiotics and nebulous’. Please teach your receptionists to have a listening ear, listen to the whole situation and consult a tech or dvm when not sure about something, and to not be so short with an unnecessary attitude when all someone is trying to do is get help for their pet! Had I taken your receptionist’s advice of “do whatever your DVM said earlier today”, my dog would probably be dead or fighting sepsis.
